I like how they assume the show will suddenly forget the diamonds have been tyranical, even though the show has literally never forgotten a negative trait about its characters. Hell, the main characters’ collective opinion about Rose seems to get lower each season.

This episode was gud, nonetheless. I think this is the first time in a while that something interesting happens. What is next tho? A White Diamond arc? How about it turns out that unlike all the other people that Steven has fought she doesn't have any reason to listen to Steven because he has nothing to say to convice her or has no redeeming qualities and it's just a pragmatic villain that just wants to focus on her goal? It would be fitting for the theme of the show: what about the people that just don't wanna change? I mean all the Western cartoons of the Golden Age had really good villains, why not the show of lesbian rocks?

All I want is Andy Demayo to come back after all this shit, sees his barn and says "WHAT HAPPENED TO MY FRICKIN BARN!"

Come on Rebecca you can do it.

Also I have a strong feeling Blue and Yellow miiight wanna take "Pink" back to Homeworld . Be it with or without Steven is the question.

Andy DeMayo is the Kiwi Farms favorite; hope he shows up soon.

But holy shit, that new episode was everything I could ask for out of the show. We got a great song, a glimpse of the cluster, Lapis' official induction to the Gems, a great fight with 2 diamonds, and the gayest wedding to ever grace Children's television!

.......Welcome to the hiatus guys

I think they're intentionally dragging it out. Teen Titans Go could potentially last another five years, but SU is clearly reaching it's conclusion soon.

On top of that, TTG doesn't have a story arc that needs context and commitment to follow. Episodes are made so they can be made mass production and have clean plots with endings that tie together nicely. Teen Titans Go is perfect replay material for Cartoon Network.

SU doesn't have much left unless they set out to fix the world or discover some new "threat".

I expect one more season of loose ends. Although, abruptly just haphazardly fixing everything in these episode fits with Sugar's style.

Real Talk, the writing and pacing of the show has gotten so much tighter lately. The quality of episodes go up and down season by season, but I appreciate the efforts the crew make to making Steven Universe a better show. Not that Kiwi Farms is the best place to show that appreciation.

But hey, as long as I'm here anyway, here's an :autism: theory

There is a bigger threat like @Apoth42 is saying. But it's an alien force that's a loose allegory to the "Sneeple" Ronaldo keeps yelling about. Some mysterious race that made and manipulates the gems that only White Diamond knows about.

It make sense as a narrative. There's absolutely no reason why the diamonds would need a super weapon like the cluster, and it would justify homeworld's goal to colonize planets at the rate they are; it's to galvanize more gems and weapons for some far off war that raises the stakes for the show. White Diamond's secrecy would justify the other diamond's ignorance to what's happening .

And hell, it'll give Ronaldo actual importance as some crackpot foreshadowing device. Ive seen sillier ways the show foreshadows future events. Itll also be funny to see how the SU blogs react.

Fuck if I know if the show will end with White Diamond and end like shit though.
