"It's not the issue of getting gamers to care, the issue is to get people to care about ANYTHING"
And so, the truth is finally revealed: Your average consumer, nay citizen is a drooling farm animal that will give you a blank stare when you get them to be passionate about anything other than whatever the idiot box/brick tells them to.
"I am just an entertainer youtuber, there is nothing more I can do"
Story of our life, Ross. There is only so much we can do.
Half the people he reached out either cancelled on him or kept rescheduling. What a fucking mess, little wonder nothing gets done, even if powers that be aren't shutting it down.
"I should have embraced the drama"
It's sad, Ross is something of a relic from a better, more civilized time, and here he is forced to wrestle the pig known as Thor/Maldavius Figtree in the mud. Hope Ross wises up how things work now, there is no arguing with these "people" and they will always be louder than you. Only way you win is to put them down before they have a single leg to stand on, not treat them with civility or ignoring them if they're being this loud and obnoxious.
It's only going to get worse.
The demographics of gaming are changing rapidly, just like the demographics of the Internet.
If you think the average gamer is willing to put up with too much nonsense from shitty publishers, developers, and propagandists, then you should rightfully dread the influx of Indians and other third-world sub humans. Those kinds of people love consuming the vilest slop.
And there is no undoing the demographical changes of digital spaces anytime soon.
The silver lining here is that Indians are too stupid and poor to play games on PC, so they will likely be relegated to mobile phones/tablets or consoles, where they belong.
