Stuff that makes you feel old

All the grey hairs on my head. About 80% of my beard is now grey.

The fact that we didn't get internet access until I was a teenager

My first gaming console was the Atari

First computer was the Apple II with the green and black screen

Used to go to arcades all the time. I have a huge library of games on MAME.

All the first albums I got were on vinyl
I'm kind of surprised we have people who are 40 or older here. I've imagined most here are in late high school to mid 30s.

waking up...

I was reduced to AM/FM radio the other day and had "classic rock" on normally plays boomer shit that I mostly like, but they put on early 00s U2.

What made me feel old was a couple years back, when I said to someone that Lemmings was a Rockstar Games title, and they responded with "what's Lemmings?"

Oh, it was just the one game I played the crap out of when I was a little kid. I'll be over here with the prune juice and Metamucil.

Those games were based as fuck amazing sound track too.

I rewatched an anime called bleach. recently The sheer feeling of nostalgia that hit me when the opening started was spine tingling and depressing at the same time. Really hammering home how long ago it was with how distant it felt.
Considering I don't normally rewatch old stuff ya, that shit was surreal.

Even when I wish you'd get deported every time you weren't on my team, you were still a real nigga, adios amigo.

I remember running home from the bus stop to make it in time to see Star Blazers.

I had a job when Transformers OG series was on TV, same with He-Man.

I can remember everyone sitting around to watch the Charlie Brown holiday specials on the holidays.

Just within the last decade, it feels like everything changed too fast! Sometimes, it doesn't even feel like I live in the country or world anymore. I'm only in my late thirties, but some of the trends, fads, or customs these days make me feel like I'm in my sixties. I'm cool with getting older too, but it still feels weird how drastically our culture has changed in such a short time.

Reactions: Autumnal Equinox
When people mention having cellphones or Facebook accounts when they were in high school.

Listening to other people wax nostalgic about things from their childhood and realizing that the object of their nostalgia was current when I was in college.

Realizing that some sort of media that I think of as being fairly new is actually 10-15 years old.
