Super Smash Bros.

Gonna post my wanted/somewhat realistic DLC newcomer choices:
>Dante
>Wonder Red
>Crash Bandicoot
>Travis Touchdown
How would they even make Dante work in Smash without him being overtly broken? They’d have to make him kind of work like Pokemon Trainer but have style switching instead. They’d probably have more luck if they went with Nero and made him some sort of grappler/Marth hybrid.

Isn’t Shulk’s entire gimmick switching styles?

I've decided I'll try and get good with Samus.

The bad one, not the Zero Suit one.

You mean the real one, not the Zero Suit one. Samus is an imposing amazon in armor not an anime waifu.

...she does suck though. She was my main in the Melee days and a Fox with significantly less skill could still regularly beat me. It's a shame.

Someone on DA once did a concept similar to this, but with fast food mascots. A lot of people liked the idea and were disappointed it wasn't a real game.
Someone on DA also did one like that using nothing but characters from MST3k'd movies. I'd kill to see the Zap Rowsdower vs. Torgo fight in a real game.

Yeah, but I figure lots of characters were improved I thought I'd give it a go.

After that I'll either see how SQUIDKID plays or perhaps Isabelle.

I just played online and it's absolute fucking shit

There's so much goddamn input lag, it's embarrassing that people have to pay for this

Is this also the case if you are playing with friends? Is it even suckier than Brawl's?

The last time I played Brawl online was a little over 10 years ago with worse internet service, and even then, I barely even played Brawl online, so I can't specifically comment on that

But there was no difference between the input lag with friends and in random matches, as I tried out online matches immediately after I was in a room with friends to test the difference

Also worth noting: I was playing in the same room as my Wi-Fi router and I still got input lag

Universe representation update: Confirmation of "Baseball" (the first sports game Nintendo released for the Famicom), Chee-Chai Alien, Tennis, Looksley's Line Up, Sutte Hakkun, Takt of Magic, Tsukutte Utau: Saru Band, Project Hacker and Hajimari no Mori gaining representation in Smash for the first time. This has brought the total number of represented universes to 195.

It's flawless for me, but I use a wired connection. When I play with another wired player, it's perfect and indistinguishable from offline. Against a wireless player, it's not very noticeable, maybe about a 5-10 frame delay.

Nothing compares to Brawl's online. Anyway, here's an unrelated photo.

Has anyone changed the controls at all? I’ve seen some people arguing about what to use the right stick for and if you should have stick jump turned on.

I love how when you initially start the game, you're only given the original eight characters that you started out with in the original Smash. Great callback.

I really enjoy how ridiculously strong King K Rool is. My brother, who's a big fan of both the DKC games and K Rool in general is having a blast playing him. Pretty hilarious to end up in a sudden death and try to kill him only to forget most of his moves have armor and get countered.
