I came across this really cute RPG called, Pugmire. It's a family friendly RPG where you play "uplifted" dogs in a Lord of the Rings type setting. It sounds like it'll be a fun game.

I'm in a D&D 5e campaign where I'm playing as a Dwarf Druid Hermit who happens to be a woman with a beard and is a drug dealer. I didn't read what my spells were for the first night, so I cast Faerie Fire thinking it was an attack. Fortunately, I was able to save the life of another player because I was the only caster in the party (There were two rogues, three fighters and a cleric as well). I'll pick better spells for next time.

Welp, my weekly pathfinder game died while I was moving house. I get back from 2 weeks without internet, and everybody's gone.
I don't suppose anybody knows a game looking for players?
I'm hoping to run a post-apocalyptic type game. I don't know if you'd be interested or not.

There's also Surtur's game of Pathfinder. Not sure if we're accepting people, but I'd be fine with it.

I'm kinda afraid for my group, it hosts several games and its gotten to the point where, almost without fail, someone skips sessions (Granted for most of the time its life stuff, except for one person) and its just getting to the point where its likely one to three games a month between the different campaigns

I've been having that problem as well. It's tough to get a group of people together to sit around, roll dice and talk about elves for hours on end.

You think that's bad, try play-by-post, where people feel even less commitment and tend to drop out like flies after a room spray. You can go from a large party to maybe 1 or 2 players still being regularly active

Yeah, i pretty much avoid play by post because that sort of thing. Never done it but i cant really imagine I'd stick to something like that.

Same thing here, though it's just started up again. I've started running my old game again but had them remake their guys in 5e because I'm just not in it to deal with 12 level pathfinder.

All the changes have been explained away by a 50 year time skip. Two of them live long enough where it doesn't matter and the other two were imprisoned by the deck of many things (which I'm normally not a fan of but I mentioned it once and they just had to have it). It's been a fun go, worlds kind of fucked up and the town the campaign was held in has new people in charge. Most of the sessions have been them checking up on old NPCs, which has been great.

Hey, it COULD pick up again. Maybe.

I play a D&D 3.5 campaign with some other people. When only two of us players make it in time, we play with an alternate party called the "B-Team". They are a group of monster adventurers that work under my character in the main campaign, which includes members such as an Awakened Gelatinous Cube Rogue. The adventures use the random adventure's table in the 3.5 Dungeon Master's Guide or are simply created in a few seconds since they are made on a whim rather than being pre-planned. These adventures are usually very silly in nature, such as appearing on an inter-dimensional TV show called Monster Madness or trying to get a NEET gnome who thinks he's a Blackguard to get out of his parent's basement and get a real job instead of playing children's card games all day.

I was thinking about the alignment system in D&D and Pathfinder, and considering alternitives to it. For example, instead of "good and evil", the vertical axis is "idealism and cynicism". (At least for player characters). So, instead of Lawful Cynical being "I want to rule everything, seig heil" it's more like "people are weak and stupid, and need a strong and ruthless leader to guide them". Conversely, Lawful Idealistic would be "The law exists to protect people, and ensure happiness. Bad laws must be taken down by legitament means". Chaotic Idealistic would be along the lines of "The Law is inherently prone to corruption. People are smart enough to rule themselves". Chaotic Cynical would be "The Law protects the weak and stupid, while restricting the strong! We need to tear it down, so the worthy may take their rightful place!"
Lawful Neutral would be "The Law is The Law. I just follow and enforce it, not pass judgement on it". Chaotic Neutral would be "who cares about law? I'm in this for myself, rules be damned!"
Yeah, yeah, I know :autistic:. I was just thinking of alternate views on alignment that don't rely on somewhat arbitrary "good and evil", where evil is "mustache twirling villain who wants to burn it all down".

I'm DMing a game primarily set in Chult and Calimshan. We're using 5th edition's ruleset and setting. The problem is, 5e hasn't really thrown out a lot of resources for these places.

I'm currently using Jungles of Chult (2e) and Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide (4e). I am Frankensteining this bitch and I don't know what to do. Any help will be appreciated.

Would anyone be intrested in putting together a Deagle Nation based RPG sourcebook for either Savage Worlds or D20 Modern? I know a few people are intrested, and I was wondering if anyone else might be.

I might be getting a game going with some friends.

Has anyone here tried out Adeptus Evangelion? I've skimmed the Open Beta of the third revision, seems like a fun time.

So are there any new gaming books that are coming out that you're really interested in getting? Let's see: updated books for Kinfolks and Ghouls, The Black Hand: A Guide to the Tal’Mahe’Ra, Shattered Dreams (it covers the war of the rage), the Bunyip Tribeboo and it won't be until 2018 when we get a 5ed version of the Ravenloft setting.

I havent played a tabletop rpg in years but im pretty excited for shattered dreams.

They have a manuscript for it here and the second part. And they got some really interesting stuff for it.

As much as i appreciate the link im going to hold off on reading until i can get myself a release copy with all that lovely artwork.
I never really liked the new world of darkness stuff but loved WOD classic, the 20 year edition of book of the wyrm was excellent

As a fan of Exalted, I'm kinda annoyed.
3rd edition is (supposedly) imminent, and so nobody is playing 2nd or 2.5. But with 3e in its incomplete state, nobody seems to be running that either.
I just wanna play some fucking Exalted!

*stops using the thread as a whining spot*
