The video linked on the front page always makes me cry. Schizophrenics in moments of lucidity is both a blessing and a curse to them. I consider it to be one of the worst mental illnesses. Even if you have family supporting you, making sure you're on your medication schedule, it won't matter. They're still mentally ill adults who can and will take the time to do things to themselves that they feel "right". I've had a family member run out of the home and get lost in the streets because his schizophrenia decided to tell him to be distrustful and go "do" whatever he "needed to do".

I don't know if God is real, I don't know what the hell is going to happen, but I hope for Terry's sake that he's where he wanted to be. Oh yeah, I think it was Null who mentioned he's a December baby. He's a Sagittarius too. It's said Sagittarius signs are "extroverted", and due to the nature of the sign they enjoy broadening their horizons whether in the form of intellectual, spiritual, or geographical pursuits. They're considered excellent storytellers, and their sense of humor can bring most people in. One of the only "drawbacks" is the no-bullshit attitude and sharp tongue. Even if it's all astrology bullshit, I like to think that Terry definitely fit his sign. Now have another video, which also happens to make me cry.

RIP Terry. He is a legitimate inspiration to me and I think of him often to this day. He tought me more about controls engineering in 30 minutes on stream than my professor did in a semester. He built more than most programmers will in their lifetime while working alone and being tormented by his mindset. If Terry can do what he did than we can all make it. Let his passing be eternal wind under your wings. Soar ever higher because his spirit drives you on. Write a compiler.

Not a week goes past that I don't watch something of Terry's. He has left an infallible mark on my life and personality, and today is a day that we are reminded of his work. Rest in Peace Terry, alongside God now.

Godspeed Saint Terrence, you deserved so much better. I often think about what you might have made had you lived on; you had this spark in you that goes unmatched by everyone else on this Earth. You were brilliant, and, though I doubt it will happen in the current political climate of our world, I hope that you eventually attain official sainthood status in the eyes of the Church.
