I used to like Foster's Bitter a bit. It's not particularly excellent but it was cheap and came in those oil can things and was bitter. I haven't seen it around much in burgerland lately though.
my neck of the woods it's just Fosters Regular or Fosters Lager, both are "okay" enough that when they're super cheap I'll get them but otherwise yeah nah

With all the budlight sperging and lgbt clownery, I've switched over to local microbreweries. It's very hipster but at least I can talk to the mangers and see how they do things.

Those Goose Island Tropical Beer Hugs are too good I say!

10% abv, you can get them in 19.2oz cans. One's good enough, but why not four?

Definitely recommend this. There's a super expensive local brewery here but has the best tasting beer I ever had. I just get and give as a gift during Christmas. They come off as very lefty though, so I just don't say anything and buy the beer. There was also one I didn't like but had their brewery in the industrial sector around where I work and finally got into grocery stores. There's some fun in following their progress.

I've been curious about Suntory All-Free ever since I saw these commercials:

I remember these:

I assume that's really old from the discoloration. Haven't seen these in a long time and I'm pretty sure they're discontinued.

I'm not going to say I miss them because they were great, because they're godawful. But they were really cheap and would knock you on your ass, which is what a college student wanted back then.

If you go to a gas station with meth pipes they sometimes have these bottles.

It may not be the best beer, but as far as I know it's the best malt liquor by miles. It's the only one I know with a flavor besides alcohol. I haven't been able to look at steel reserve the same way since I found this potion.

Mickey's is by far the most palatable mass produced malt liquor. Olde English 800 is a distant 2nd and it goes down from there quickly. Steel Reserve and Camo are both piss in a bottle, same with St Ides. Some people like King Cobra but I'd still go with OE and Mickey's.

I've gotten shitfaced on Mickey's more than I care to admit.

If you're a fan of Boulevard (and you've got a taste for heavier, hoppy beers) then I'd strongly recommend you try their Tank 7.

It's a bit on the pricey side, not something I'd recommend as an everyday, after work beer, but for special occasions it's absolutely unmatched imo.

One of my coworkers put it best when he said something to the effect of "I took a drink of Tank 7 and it tasted like a fuckin' garden". Without a doubt the most flavorful beer I've ever had the pleasure of drinking.

While I would never wnat to get crunked on Mickey's, I find it to be relatively decent, albeit a bit too sweet. The current grenades don't quite have the charm of the old version, but they're delightful to grip.

Im sorry i have sinned and gave the evil gay corp my money. they had Spaten for 12 flat a case and i got myself like 3 cases....

I literally haven't had one since the pulltab days, but when I (and nearly everyone else I knew in college) drank it, it was purely to get shit-faced. Pound a couple and you no longer care how it tastes.

I have broken it before... there is a beer price war going on and abInbev has some very good beer brands in germany...

also for you guys in the colonies, a case of beer is 20X0.5l and bavarian beer is close to 20€ a case normaly.

When I can find it my beer of choice is Voodoo Ranger Juice Force.
Voodoo rangers taste like shit, and the only reason to drink them is to get shit faced really fast. If that's the case, you can buy 3 equally shitty Natty Daddies for the price of 1 voodoo, and get 3 times as fucked up.

Anchor in SF just went out of business. I managed to snag a 6-pack of Porter from the liquor store. It's REALLY good, very earthy and malty. Reminds me of Samual Smith's Porter in a good way. They also had a 6-pack of their Christmas Ale from last year, I may snag it sometime later (I guarantee it will still be sitting there six months from now because the rednecks in my area only drink Busch)
@BSC Boulevard is GOAT. I haven't had Tank 7 in a while but I need to pick some up soon. I miss when they had the mix-packs with the Lunar Ale (a really nice understated dunkel) I have a single of the Maple Mood aged stout chilling in the mini-fridge downstairs. I'm weird and like drinking stouts in the summertime. Will probably pick up some Guinness soon...would like to try some of the coffee guinness but I can never find it relatively fresh.
