This is just sad. Part of me died a little inside. I can't say I'm surprised, I won't go into too much detail about my personal life but I can tell you for sure that every couple of weeks when I get to interact with new hires at my office, I almost always end up having to explain to grown adults (usually ages 18-30) to just be fucking nice and say "please" and "thank you". It always feels like it's some uphill battle. People are shit and literally do not care, getting someone to use basic courtesies is a fucking challenge, so it's no surprise there are pieces of shit like these guys out there.

Had Chris shown signs of being this far gone before these two fucknuggets showed up? How long has he really, genuinely believed that CWCville was a real place that could possibly come under threat from the physical world? I know Chris rides a very short bus, but... that seems like a stretch even for him.

Also, is there any possible way he could be persuaded to go to a professional therapist, particularly one specialized in autism? Even if it involved massaging the truth. That's the only kind of person I can think of who might actually be able to help long term.

Agree, I think this was Rocky's thought process for wanting him put away. If it's not Wise, it will be something else. Chris can't and won't change. While Null's actions are Noble, they're also futile. This goes way beyond gullibility. Chris doesn't possess the ability to think for himself and when he tries, you get something like TMG. If anything, this is going to make things worse. People are going to try and find ways to get past Null to manipulate Chris.

I think this is part of the problem, Chris is legally a responsible adult who should report it himself and if he’s not able to deal with these issues himself it’s only going to get worse when he loses his mother so like @Ruin said maybe he would be better in a group home (I don’t know if Virginia has support services for autistic adults which aren’t quite as dramatic and would be a more preferable choice for Chris).

So many moments in the past involving trolls and Christine have really turned my stomach, but this is probably the worst. What kind of degenerate piece of shit do you have to be to extort money from someone with learning difficulties. It's such a shame too that because of mother taking money from her all the time etc, doing a fundraiser or anything to help out would be useless as there's no guarantee that money would be spent on the right things. I don't know if a group home is the same as supportive living areas we have here in the UK, but if Christine was somewhere where she had support from people managing her money without the threat of abusing her I think she could cope pretty well.

Chris had been virtually silent and extremely pedestrian before then. It was a contributing factor into why the CWC descended into shitpost central IMO. Lack of any sustaining content and people just couldn't NOT post.

If I understand how the Postal Service's law enforcement division works, they generally work ancillary or in concert with existing investigations.

Not surprised that police isn't acting, mostly also because this is not an open- and shut case. They hate everything else. It also involves the mentally ill and the internet. They hate dealing with that especially. Also Chris can't really act on his own, as we all know. He can't follow it up 100% by himself. That is also a big problem.

This is one of the cases where an internet lynch mob could do something good for a change.

My guess is that, while $6k is a lot of money, it's not embezzling $5 million from your company a lot (the FBI's white collar crime division typically investigates things like that). That, combined with Chris himself not reporting it (they would need Chris to 100% cooperate), means they have bigger fish to fry.
