The Elder Scrolls

It doesn't help that you end up more or less doing money exploits unintentionally. If you're making a bunch of useless potions just to grind your alchemy skill for example, then you're going to end up rich by selling them off despite making money not being the intended goal.
Aren't the leveling imbalances (such as trashmobs having mid- and high-level armors) caused in part by the player cheesing their skills like that?

Speaking of balance, I think an issue TES suffers from, especially as the series as gone on, is a lack of resource scarcity. If you're in a dungeon you should be getting worn down over time. Things like your equipment durability, the number of spells you can cast, and the amount of potions you carry should be important considerations. Resting should also carry a risk. The games never punish you enough for being unprepared. Sure the mechanics are there depending on the game, but it's never severe enough.
Mods can help remedy that issue.

I really wish I could put into words why I can't get into Morrowind. I've owned it since near release, when I bought it on physical media, and I haven't finished any of my three attempts to play it. I have no idea why I don't like it.

Im playing a use weird spells run in Oblivion. Im trying to find a use for Absorb Merchantile. You can't fire it off at merchants it aggros them. Any one have clever uses for it?

It's mostly just an Oblivion problem.

If you're allowing yourself to use calm spells that's about all I can think of. You're still gonna get a bounty though. I guess you can get a follower like Martin or Maglir, absorb their stats and take advantage of the buff without much consequence?

My game glitched. I wanted my imperial to still have the red eyes so I made a wood elf with red eyes and become a vampire on that character, but my wood elf still has red eyes after I become a vampire on that character! I reloaded the game like 10 times and slept for 3 days but each time my eyes stay red this time!!!! I’m so pissed

Looking for ways to trivialize a fucking singleplayer TES game with broken builds is borderline subhuman behavior, imo. Just why? There's no leaderboards, there's no meta, nobody is judging you. Nobody is going to be impressed when you clear a cave in record time using only marksmanship. Lack of challenge might only end up with you getting bored and dropping the game.
I remember some interview with a game Dev and he was talking about how if you let them your players will optimize the fun out of your game and that you need to put up some guard rails to prevent them form doing it. its just one of those human nature things you have to take into account when making your game.

One of the Main problems I have with the Elder scrolls games is the balancing of the games, Some are very easy to break. Hell I think the one of the main reasons for why Skyrim is the way it is is trying to make the 3 main styles of gameplay, Warrior, Rouge and Mage equally viable and fun ways to play the game.(even if it inevitably devolves into stealth archer). In Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion, Magic is king and THE best way to play the game. Magic in Daggerfall Is the best for every situation and avoiding Daggerfalls bullshit. In Morrowind its also really good and at bypassing annoyances like lockpicking. In Oblivion its the best way to kill things late game. The custom spell maker allows for some disgusting min-maxing of spells that allowed you to gook nuke every thing in the 3 games (but be careful in Morrowind random things have some reflect on them)
A roleplaying game like TES should feed into the idea of power fantasy whether it be magic or melee. You start off pitifully weak, scraping by in combat scenarios or with income and then eventually become so empowered that you're a demigod with titles, bitches, and riches.

you know, only betaborn can have bitches.
sure, used goods like serana but she still a bitch, just a bit wide since molag bal and all... all other previous games have no player be able to marry npc's mechanic, in some games marriage is only possible with mods.

Lord Indoril Nerevar, Saint Nerevar Moon-and-Star, Champion of Azura, Hero of Red Mountain, Godkiller, the Chimer King of Resdayn could have anything he asks for. The Nerevarine is so charismatic that even his enemies simp for him.

What does the Dragonborn do. Joins a furry fan club, simps to Nocturnal instead of just taking the skeleton key like every other protag in exchange for a gimp suit. Leads a dilapidated mages guild that anyone can join. Needs help defeating Alduin when Lord Nerevar solo both Dagoth and the Tribunal. Can't fly gets mocked by everyone and in the end simps for another Daedric Prince.

Or that whatever brit bitch. "HOW I RUINED THE ECONOMY IN THIS GAME-", you googled a reddit thread and passed it off as your own?

I've gotten into a few old games in states of depression-like numbness. Including the 10 hours I put into Morrowind. Too busy being actually invested in the game to constantly reroll cause the writing ain't shit.
