Introducing card games is unforgivable though. Pazaak is ridiculous and nonsensical.Come to think of it, while FF8 didn't have the mini game problem

Slow? What???FF9 is too slow. Sorry but it’s true. Like everything moves slowly.
The game. The objects on screen. The screen itself. The loading times.Slow? What???

Every fight starts with a 30 second pan over the party while the game decompresses the encounter visual data. The game. The objects on screen. The screen itself. The loading times.
Chrono Cross did the same thing. Just not quite as prolonged.Every fight starts with a 30 second pan over the party while the game decompresses the encounter visual data.
at least in Cross you could see the enemies in the world map, so in some cases you could sidestep them, and New Game + added the whole thing where you can hold R2 to speed things upChrono Cross did the same thing. Not quite as prolonged, though.
Neither game has a 'No encounters" item, a pity.
Wayminnit, why did they compress that data? It's a game from 2000 across four CDs, how could around 2.6gb not be enough space? Even considering how a lot of data is replicated across all four discsEvery fight starts with a 30 second pan over the party while the game decompresses the encounter visual data.
Last time I played a JRPG with random encounters it really struck me how tired I was of them. I really appreciate how Chrono Trigger shows you the monsters on the map so you can avoid them most of the time. Super Mario RPG and the (good) Paper Mario games let you do this too. I think my dislike is a combination of lack of time for gaming, and all the slow panning around for PS1 and 2 RPGs. That was kickin' rad in the 90s, not so much anymore.Chrono Cross did the same thing. Just not quite as prolonged.
Makes me yearn for "No Encounters."
Wouldn't surprise me if he was a test run for Cid's animations and actions.Have people realized that Yuffie's cohort in Intergrade has all of Cid's animations?
Might be a way for them to test out how he'd animate and play in Part 2. Sonon isn't playable, he's AI controlled like Red XIII, but the player is able to equip different weapons/accessories, level him up, and order him to use ATB abilities. They already have the Part 1 characters and Yuffie figured out, so it'd be a matter of them finishing up Cid, Red XIII, and Vincent (assuming he shows up).Have people realized that Yuffie's cohort in Intergrade has all of Cid's animations?
Honestly my team just used Vincent due to his Death Penalty weapon/overflow glitch (gets stronger the more enemies he kills) and Cloud and Cid due to them being the only characters with Triple AP weapons. He's a chain-smoking, hard-drinking "tea" man with anger management issues. Let's automatically make him leader once Cloud is out of the party.

(I mean he does have better music.)

Vincent is basically the Kimahri of 7: uninteresting character, his Limits suck. and his stats are awful. I know you can salvage him with Deathblow, but he's still an inferior Aerith in every category.
I tried to take advantage of double AP weapons... Personally I think 7 has a slow growth rate. You can grind your ass off, but it's more practical to wait until the end.Honestly my team just used Vincent, Cloud and Cid due to them being the only characters with Triple AP weapons.
Vincente Valentino
how much average time does it take to get the overflow glitch to work?Honestly my team just used Vincent due to his Death Penalty weapon/overflow glitch (gets stronger the more enemies he kills) and Cloud and Cid due to them being the only characters with Triple AP weapons.
65,536 kills from Vincent. Doesn't have to be from Death Penalty so can start as soon as you get him.how much average time does it take to get the overflow glitch to work?
