Jenova and Hojo were the real antagonists. The deification of Sephiroth is a post release thing.

So here's something I noticed everyone here missed. The FFVII remake will have a "classic" turn-based mode that will allow you to play the game like the original.

they did this for Dragon quest 11.

After the blunder of OG 14 and 15, Square has become rather competent for many releases. I was especially surprised on how they've resurrected the Mana series and brought it back from the Mobile game graveyard.

Not only did 2 get a remake but the whole collection got released (sans Legends of Mana) and 3 is getting a full remake too.

Heads up for GamePass owners, each Final Fantasy title on the Xbox One will enter the service next year.

Going from VII all the way to XV, these games will become GamePass titles for both Xbox and PC.

So... yeah. Think I'll be sinking my teeth into the JRPG genre then. Kind of excited, to be honest.

If you can, give Suikoden a try. It's pretty old but it's short and a ton of fun. Suikoden 2 is much better, but it's a direct sequel and much more enjoyable with the context (and a complete game save) from the first game. If you like politics, it's especially good.

If I didn’t already have the ones I wanted to play that would be a good deal. Does it also include FFXIV? I know Xbox players have been screaming for a while to get it on there.
 
I just wish that I could get the reunion and remako mods to play nice with each other.

Also 14 will NOT be on gamepass.
 
To my complete shock and lack of knowing FF11 online was available on PS2 and 360 but less surprising there is an active player base left on PC. I didn’t get to far on 14 before giving up (fuck level cap quests) so I may give this a try.
