The General Thread

I'm so happy my one crab finally entered another far more suitable shell and tomorrow he can go and live with Mr. Snips and Citizen Snips. Now he can leave all memories of his old shitty life behind and begin a glorious new era full of peanut butter and new tiny friends to poke.
I'm literally so happy I'm gonna cry I saved this crab's life and now he can live a good one ;_;

What's this crab's name?

I hope it's Lil' Snips.

His name is Giant Enemy Crab AKA: GEC AKA: Giant Friend Crab cause he's a little sweetie.
Oh God Lil' Snips sounds adorable but he's too big to be Lil' Snips, GEC's like slightly smaller than my fist. I guess he could have beem Big Snips and they could all be The Snips.
I put him in with the other crabs anyway, mostly because with his new shell he can't fit in his cocohut so he'd be pretty pissed off come morning.

Y'all are punks.

I used to love escalators as a kid. Even if I'd just wind up walking on them instead of standing still like everyone else.
I didn't like the tops and bottoms because I was scared they'd eat my shoes D:
Ya, same here.

Getting my ACT scores tomorrow, really hope I did better than last time. I spent so much time prepping T_T

Good luck!

My headache has gotten considerably worse. My computer screen is on the dimmest setting but it's still killing me. Caffeine withdrawal is a terrible thing.

Got a 30, not what I wanted, but I'm not going to be a smug asshole and pretend I'm all mad about it.

Damn it, the power went out again. Good thing I finished what I was doing five seconds prior.

We put six recycling bags out by the curb. They got blown a block away. On the bright side, since there's no power, I can focus on my homework. However, all of it was online...

Winds might reach as high as 55 mph today.

Hahahahahahahahaohmanfuckmylife.

Dude, seriously, something that's changed my life? Dedicating up to eight hours a day at school to work on homework. So even if it's a relatively easy day, I stay in the school building afterward and do my work there, up to eight hours, like a full-time job. If something takes longer than that, pick it up in your spare time the next day. It doesn't have to be every day, I book it out of there early on slow afternoons. I never do homework at home anymore, I put up a solid wall between school time and leisure time, and home is always leisure (or side project) time.

Well, yeah, I used to do that all the time in high school, but the work I have is just making a two sentence summary of an article, and it's not due until Monday of next week. So I tend to procrastinate like crazy because almost all of my work is like that. I'd just like for once to not be worrying about it all week. Oh well. Power's back on, so maybe I should get to work.

GodJesus, it's incredibly warm for a Winnipeg winter.

Ugh, figures on the one weekend I have to study for a test and turn in part of a project, my granddad finally has some labor for me and I can't show up, but my brother can.

My inner Hank Hill is kicking myself over this.

I miss having something to wrap around my head. :(

Oh, and we had albondigas for dinner, and it was pretty great. It's meatball soup, but it can also be eaten on white rice. That... almost makes up for my missing bandannas. I miss those things so fucking much.

A local 16 year old girl with some kind of relation to my friend went missing. They say she disappeared in a neighborhood in Mexico. Normally, I wouldn't be so terribly impacted by the news, but I've been watching documentaries about innocent people who are abducted and tortured and raped. The thing is that these documentaries were incredibly graphic and described every awful detail of it.

I'm scared. Very, very scared.

I really hope she's all right. You have my sympathies.

Jesus. I hope she comes home alive and well.

Today I was able to read one page out of a book on environmental conversation before my brother sent me a text saying, "faggo lets bonse." I miss the days where he'd stay in class no matter what. :C
