Every character on the poster (except Ralph) only gets a quick cameo. I assumed they'd all be main characters. Hell, most of them only get one line, if even that.

And thank god for that. If I wanted to see something starring Sonic I'd go play one of the million video games starring him.

Speaking of movies I saw Wreck It Ralph todasy, how that movie lost to Brave in the oscars is beyond me.
I saw neither, but I think I'd be more interested in Brave than Wreck-It Ralph, tbh. Wreck-It Ralph looks extremely mediocre to me (not saying that Brave looks amazing or anything).

Personally I find Brave to be a style over substance movie, it certianly has great visuals but falls flat in the story and character department.
Much like how Wreck-It Ralph looks like a HARDCOREGAYMURRREFRANCE over everything movie?

Honestly, the more I think about it, the less inclined I feel to watch it...

I think watching a movie is more fun than talking about how I'm never going to watch it, but that's just me.

Never said I was having fun, just discussing my impression of it so far. I might watch it some day because I know one of my friends is going to drag me into it (the same one that dragged me into a ton of stuff I wound up loving and hating), but it doesn't look like the kind of movie I'd pay $8 to watch on my own.

Well I watched the first 4 episodes of twin peaks, and Im already seriously regretting not doing this 5 years ago.

Yeah, that's what my brother told me. He's been begging me to watch it with him, but he always gets me at bad times.

Resident Sonic sperg, here!
Sonic being a main character was one of the many reasons I wanted to go see the movie.

Actually, the movie does have some good character development, great humor (not all of it being game-related, mind you), and some really sad moments. I can't compare the two movies, mainly because I've never seen Brave, but WiR is a good movie.

Aye, my dad told me ages ago to watch them, and has already suggested we watch our way through the full series when I come back home during easter since he only saw them when they first aired.

By the way, my favorite joke in the movie is the "Sheng Long was here" graffiti.

So far, the few people I know that have seen it came out pissed because their favorite characters didn't get more screen time. They never really said anything about there being a story or anything. Then there's the select few that did like it solely because their favorite characters came out. They didn't say much about the story either, just that if I was a fan of Sanic and Skeet Fighter, I should totally watch it because the Street Fighter and the Sanic are in it. Then there's my brother who refuses to watch it and just goes by what other people say, which is either all good or all bad. Maybe it'd just be better for me to just give it a rest and ignore its existence like I did with Meet The Robinsons and Robots.

Wreck-it Ralph was kind of boring, IMO. Also heyyyyy I liked Meet the Robinsons.

I found it to be a fun and creative movie. The people that just wanted to see their favorite character in yet another piece of mainstream media can cry me a river.

Yeah, the shoe-horned cameos were kind of off-putting. The story was so-so, but something bothered me about the voice-acting, where I couldn't get passed who the characters are in real life. Like, they're too familiar.

I was PROMISED that Sonic Himself would Be in the new movie Wreck It-Ralph, only to be SORELY DISAPPOINTED that he was only Granted a CAMEO for all of three seconds! I mean What was Disney trying to Think?

The sad thing is, Wreck-it-Ralph would have gone unnoticed by me if Sonic Retro didn't talk about the Sega cameos.

What I mean is I'm glad they didn't get more than cameos. Yeah, something for the fans is always nice but expecting Disney to actually do a movie called Gotta Go Fast: Sonic is really silly. That would have alienated people who don't care about Sonic (like me) and trying to explain who the heck this blue guy is would have cluttered the plot way too much. I expected them to create their own story and I was pleased with how they did. It can appeal to people who haven't even played video games that way, which is what Disney wanted. Of course it's better to get the references, but the original characters are enjoyable on their own.

It's not the strongest animated movie I've seen, but it was fun. The characters are charming. The twists genuinely surprised me. Its story is on a big scale, which is more than I can say for Brave. Is Brave a bad movie? No, not at all. There are a lot of good things about it and I think its a very good kids movie. I just don't find it as good as WiR or the fare I'm used to seeing from Pixar.

Okay, WiR spiel over. I'm sure this thread is tired of hearing about it.

I had a dream where someone from the forum was a supermodel with psychic powers like the chick from Judge Dredd and then she bit someone's dick off.

That was a really good movie, by the way.
