I can do 10 but the goal you’re setting puts your payday at $12,000 a month at which point you’re so rich you don’t need my money.
If you were to add up all of our server expenses, all of our service bills, our colocation bills, and then factor in our litigation budget, you're easily talking $4000/mo bare minimum.

You might notice the site runs like shit. That's because we've got bandwidth caps but most importantly we've got a serious disk issue. Harddrives are easily the most expensive part of a server. Our current server cost $10,000, a ton of that went to drives, and it is a deprecating asset. We use 16T out of 26T but the actual NVMe I'd like to use for the database is toast and it frequently bottlenecks as a result of S3 and DB fighting each other for disk I/O that the raid is sparse on despite its size because of its high level of redundancy. Also, some of those drives are already failing. I think Cloudflare was saying we issue more than 200TB of data a month before they dropped us.

Take the remainder of that money, take a third of it, find someone who wants me and everyone who looks like me dead, and give it to them. Call it the social contract.

The remainder goes to me. I now live in the most expensive country in the world where non-torture eggs are $9 a dozen, rent starts at $1500/mo for a crackshack on Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, and you're responsible for your own healthcare if you make too much money (calculated at your GROSS income, not after business expenses, so I can't get gibmedat healthcare). I've managed to budget the Kiwi Farms into a life funded entirely by sporadic donations because I lived in Ukraine, which had the lowest cost of living in Europe. I simply did without.

This is not a profitable website. I've paid out of pocket for it my entire life. I've been handling crypto for 10 years now, since Bitcoin was under $100, but I have nothing to show for it because it's all gone to the Kiwi Farms. $12,000/mo is an extremely reasonable goal for the world's most controversial website.

I didn't tag him. I intentionally didn't tag him because I knew exactly the type of garbage he would post. Someone else tagged him. And we both know the type of garbage he posts because it is all he posts and nothing else.

I'm clearly the problem for pointing out someone you refuse to moderate has become a well known problem who spams stuff people wouldn't get away with if not for the join date? Someone I specifically did not try to engage with and then came in and posted the same schizo babble he always does?

What is wrong with asking why some users are more equal than others? How many years of HHH derailing threads is acceptable when other problem users have pink triangles at least? Null specifically says people with 5 years and older accounts are having flame wars with each other and it's getting gumming up the moderation queue why is the obvious poster not allowed to be mentioned? Look at it in a vacuum and ask if the TDS political sperging would be acceptable from a new account. This isn't the first problem user with an early join date and that Rapetor woman couldn't stop posting about abortions eventually got the boot. It took years of people having to avoid any thread she joined because it derailed. Moderators had to clean it up and she would jump to another thread and derail that one. If old users can do nothing but derail threads by posting in them then there is a problem with old users and they need to be asked to calm down or moderated into constructive forum posters.

If the beauty parlour can have a higher standard of moderation why can't the rest of the site? Asking people to be on topic and not just spew garbage hoping for rage replies isn't a high standard of forum posting. It's basic user etiquette. Is it such a big ask for HHH to chill on the TDS and try to add something to the thread discussions?

2.5 months of Tier 2
How would fractions in practice? Assuming it was $20/mo and I sent you 5 bucks would I just get a week's work of Kiwi Pass? Or is there a minimum amount?

You should include additional perks like bigger upload limit, or maybe a little card or something (physical or digital) that Pass users would get monthly. Maybe even just sell the perks separately at a fixed/monthly rate. IMO the current perks aren't appealing enough for me to justify $20+/mo, but that's just my two cents.

Side tangent/idea: A donation meter (% of the 12k/mo) might encourage some people to donate and would look cool as the bar fills up.

How do people not like the salon? It has some of the best threads. Are you just scared of girls?
if people don't like threads or just a section of the site why not just ignore it. hell part of the reason I like the farms is it can foster a shit ton of smaller communities that operate autonomously.
IMO it is what makes the site healthy and able to grow quickly
I love how half this thread is people trying to haggle with Null about the price and the perks, like this is an open-air market in Morocco.
the userbase, much like der feeder himself, loves the nation of Israel and will use any opportunity to haggle

pro rata. if the price is $30/mo and you send $11.52 you will get 11 days, 12 hours, 1 minute, and 12 seconds.
What happens for the 31 day months, do we run a deficit or will you pro-rata it to the actual month length? Sorry if this question is a trade secret.

I am debating what to do about it. I've considered either giving 30.417 days per full payment (which would even it out over the year), but that would cause momentary losses in certain month (which are probably going to happen anyways because of postal delays). I've also considered giving 28/29/30/31 days depending on the month, but that would mean it would be more cost effective to spend in certain months, which is weird.

I might try to do 30.417 and then give 5 day's grace after it runs out. Depends on how painful it would be to implement.

The Prev/Next highlight buttons now also appear at the bottom of the thread.
thank you SO MUCH for this. just this small change is so nice thanks daddy. i still have this terrible habit of middle mouse button clicking and scrolling to the top though.

i would pay money if it meant i could upload bigger videos and i know that this website will never go out

5 day's grace
This would likely make sense as besides the month length, USPS varies significantly these days and weekends will also effect check transit time. So just because I tell my bank to make it arrive on a specific day doesn't mean it will.

Wait @Null, you used to say storage space was cheap so I've uploaded and awful lot of X vids. Would it be better to save the space and just link? This is a serious question. I hear keep copies on here of everything possible, but is that too expensive?

I think I have one more perk idea: anonymous posting tokens.

I'm thinking of making it so that certain users in certain boards can post anonymously on a timer. Like you might get 2 posts a day or something. I want to test that as a feature and then perhaps increase the number of tokens for anon posts someone gets per day if it works as I expect.

You could do something like 7 days of grace period that replenishes every 3 months, enough to allow for wiggle room on postal time without letting people try and game grace period time by purposefully under donating/delaying their checks.

Status of subscription measured by a hamster wheel gif on the users profile with a little timer over it. Different gif where the hamster is leaning against its little water bottle being tired with a now red timer above it counting down the grace period.
Let users spend their time on different hamster skins.
Make hamster skins a gacha game to forever enslave the gamba kiwis.

Morty! Hey Morty, down here look! I turned myself into a physical payment, Morty! Yeaaaah, "check" me out, Morty, now they HAVE to allow me to be deposited, I have routing numbers and I'm mailed, for reaaaal *burrrrp*. The bluesky trannies can't block me now Morty, there's nothing they can do.
