The Harry Potter Fandom

I've noticed about 90% of the fanfics are either Hermione with one of the bad guys(Draco, Voldermort, Snape) or Harry with the exact same people. Almost all of said fics make Ron/Dumbledore/other good guy into an evil scumbag. Hell, I'm pretty sure TV tropes ended up naming two whole tropes after them, they became so common: Draco in Leather Pants and Ron the Death Eater.

Yes. Yes it does.

More seriously, a problem with these types is that they tend to care more about the actors' looks than the characters', well, characters. For whatever reason, people look at Snape's actor and go 'OH MY GOD HE'S THE SEX' even though Snape himself probably smells like rotten egg.

Yeah. He apparently researched the experiences of actual child-soldiers to write it, which got him a lot of praise, but it still sucked, at least in my view.

He's in the Supernatural fandom, last I checked. Still indoctrinating dumb kids into his creepy otherkin cult.

Jesus fucking Christ what a monster, I am only half way through that artical and I am already agog.

The writer does their best to be impartial, but Blake's victims recognize that he's a master manipulator and is very good at pretending he's reformed and he's totally reasonable and not at all creepy.

i love the harry potter series; i enjoy the books more but i have a soft spot for the movies as well.

a popular thing in this fandom is arguing about snape's innocence and if he deserves to be revered by harry in the end. i personally think he's a creep, but some people are super convinced he's a romantic angel for "protecting harry for lily". those fans are RABID about their love for snape and it's really unerving how offended they get if you even suggest his love for lily is impure.

then there are fan's about snape like redpassion. she's not as into snape as she was a few years ago but. just look.
