The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Hahahahaha

Joel dying is fine but killing doggos is over the line.
It's interesting how a lot of people are unfazed seeing fictional (or even actual) people being brutalized or killed, but completely lose their shit at the sight of an animal being abused or killed.

It probably has to do with animals being viewed as generally "innocent," with even bad behavior being excusable because of illness, injury and instinct, where human beings are notorious for their willful nastiness. A person trying to kill you is a shithead. A dog trying to kill you is either hungry and desperate, or well-trained and obeying a command. It's easier to feel bad for the dog if he dies.

Within context, the missus doesn't know that the revenge plot doesn't get resolved. Can you imagine? Killing the dogs, and the preggo lady, but Abby? Naw.
Given that I started to loathe "fur babies" after going on a blind date with a chick that brought her "Emotional Support Animal" into A restaurant. I openly laugh at people who value "Doggo" lives over human ones.

That or we as a society have devalued human life to the point where Furbabies are more important to women than human life is.

It's simple. Humans are assholes, dogs are not.

The fucking insecurity of the people who defend this game are many. I'm late to the party but @VicSav007 , thanks for showing that fans of this game are rude assholes who shit on other games just because you can't accept that Last of Us 2 is nothing more than Neil Druckmann's zombie fantasy where pregnant women are slaughtered, trannies are fucked up the ass, and where he's "The Great Doctor Uckmann".

Congrats on joining the farms, stay safe.
And sincerely don't let the door hit your ass on the way out, fuckwit

YongYea has not made one video on TLOU Part II since release, how odd.

He has spoken on Twitter about it. He says a review is coming.

He clearly got the Moby Dick comparison from Death Stranding.

Dunkey's praise for the game comes as very dishonest to me. He hated the first last of us and in his uncharted 4 video he complained about the story to the point he gave it a 3/5. But now Uncharted 4 was so godlike that Last of us 2 only mistake was not being able to match it? He always mocked critics for scores having no value but now he proudly brings up metacritic? He says the part 2 is "more game than 1" when it features a lot more walk and talk + unskipable long animations that he hates? Not to mention that him gushing over the graphics and details sounds like a paid adversertisement.

Regardless, since people talk about the acessibility options and proning invisiblity, i want to bring up Killer instinct as a great example. It has a sound design so amazing that Blind people can actually play a fast paced fighting game to a much higher level than you'd expect.

Here is a video where a blind player (who plays a lot of games btw) explaining how he can tell exactly what he is doing and another of him fighting.

Special shoutouts to Fullgore who has unique sounds for everything, crouching, directional jumps, wind up animations, specials etc. Killer Instinct is a fast paced fighting game that you're supposed press button while you're being comboed to combo break, and you can play it while blindfolded. And you know why that's beautiful? Because it doesnt require an OPTION, it's acessible by default. You dont go to a menu and turn on auto-block, you just play the exact game your opponent is playing except you rely on your ears instead of your eyes.

Of course last 2 is a much more complex 3D game and the game still has an impressive array of acessibility features but stuff like prone invisibility is actually insulting and that's why everyone is making fun of it. It's like you're treating the player as a useless baby, tricking you into thinking you're playing a real game when you're not. Disabled people who enjoy videogames dont want to cheat, they want to have fun.

What i mean is, if you added so much acessibility and someone STILL NEEDS TO BE LITERALLY INVISIBLE TO PLAY then you're admitting you failed. I think anyone would rather drop the difficulty level than do that. Also, the game lacks the option to make QTEs automatic, something even resident evil 6 has for cutscenes.

He’s a pretentious asshole
„I don’t get this, I don’t understand, the mind that says this could be my last breath, this could be my last moment on this planet and I‘m going to spend it fucking with someone“

I could die with a smile on my face having the chance to tell Troy Baker with my final breath that has a faggot.
Troy Baker does not fundamentally understand sudoku puzzles, great, learned a lot today. What was the point of that video, to trip your dopamine hit for smug today? That faggot pompadour must not have gotten enough likes on Instagram, sorry. I love how his narrow worldview conflates thousand-page forum discussion on multiple platforms with twitch chat; you can tell he's a million miles away from playing video games or online video game culture today, to think that that is where "leaking" interaction was happening.

Does KI still have the combo system where you effectively land three specific inputs, and you get a 27+ hit combo from filler moves auto-executing? Because that was the accessibility hook for the first one.

Celebrities are dumb, news at 11.

Baker has lost the momentum he had back in 2012-2014. Look at his IMDB. He's not all over the place anymore. And with this virus, he doesn't have much work covered for him.

I have a lot to say about Hannibal, but basically just watch Season 1 and a bit of 2/3 but it just becomes Western Fujoshi eventually.

I remember watching this show with like 6 fujos at the time. There was a scene in Season 2 where I said out loud to them "wow I expected to see some finnish dwarves and a maori tribesman in that freak fest." That didn't go over well. But for real by the end of season 2 it's unabashed fujo bait. Didn't even bother with season 3 after that.

I watched some reviews and this is the dialogue that occurs when Abby is about to slit Dina's throat

Lev ~ "she's pregant!

Abby ~ "Good!"

Lev ~ Abby!

At which point Abby finally relents and doesn't kill Dina.

I'm watching Hannibal on Netflix and despite having a cast that's 60% serial killer none of them are as outwardly sadistic and psychopathic as Abby is.

What the Fuck Naughty Dog?
I'd have to rewatch a playthrough to be certain, but as I recall that is when Abby just got back to where she was supposed to meet up with some of her friends, only to find them dead at Ellie's hand. One of them was a pregnant woman who'd attacked Ellie from behind so Ellie didn't know she was pregnant when she killed her but of course Abby doesn't know that. Anyways Ellie and friends are still there, and that's when the fight takes place. So I believe the intent there is that Abby's hurt from the loss of her friends, and glad she'll be able to kill one of Ellie's pregnant friends like Ellie killed one of hers... until of course Lev stops her. I assume that ND thought this made Abby looks deeply hurt by the loss of her pregnant friend to the point of being irrational, and it never occurred to them that it just makes Abby look like a psychopath to most people. And of course they wanted to show Ellie kill a pregnant woman, but show Abby not kill a pregnant woman even though it'd be payback.

He might not have known he was going to die early on, for that matter. Joel's parts are the most solid and the VA for him could easily have had an entirely different idea as to how it was gonna go.
From what I recall hearing about how game development tends to go for VAs these days, there's a decent chance that all he knew from his own work were Joel's lines. Big companies tend to not tell VAs what the story is to avoid leaks, and even to not tell them what their role is to reduce their bargaining power. So while I don't know how ND in particular handles the VA, him not being familiar with any parts other than his own, much less the complete script of the game would not be unusual. Especially if there was alternative dialogue recorded that ultimately went unused due to story changes.

Does KI still have the combo system where you effectively land three specific inputs, and you get a 27+ hit combo from filler moves auto-executing? Because that was the accessibility hook for the first one.

Once you hit the enemy with an "opener" (usually jump attacks and certain moves / counters) you can then do auto doubles (easy 2 hits), manuals (harder 1 hit), linker (special during combo, usually works different, has shadow version) and finish with an ender (heavy special, unique properties like launcher, eats regen health).

You can definitely button mash to do cool combos but KI combos are less about inputs and more about mind gaming. What combo you do is important because you can get combo breaked so you cant just use the strongest attack over and over and hope it works, you gotta have a plan. Do you do a short combo to setup? Do you do a low hit combo despite low damage? Do mix up a lockout so they cant break and use your meter? Do you bait a breaker and counter breaker? etc.

And this is the main reason why KI acessibility is so impressive AND genius. Combo Breaking requires you to watch your enemy animations, think fast and react faster. It should be impossible to do this without eyesight but it isnt because the sound design is so good that combo breaking becomes it's own rhythm game.

“Pillars of Eternity, Torment, Witcher, Baldur's Gate, IHNMAIMS.”

lol non of these games are deep or complex or even close to be as dark as LOU, and most of these are pc role play games wtf. What a nerd.
What a subpar troll. You should've made the ridiculous claim that TLOU is better than some of the most revered narrative-focused games of all time and just left it at that. You would've triggered plenty of people with that statement alone. The dig about how PC RPGs are for nerds was completely superfluous and only made your trolling more obvious.

You had a good start but you completely botched it, next time dial it back a bit more. 4/10.

You really didn't miss anything. Honestly, Season 3 is filled with nonsense to keep the "story" of Will and Hannibal's "totally not gay" relationship going. To demonstrate the sort of nonsense that happens, an unquestionably straight character for the past two seasons just turns gay in season 3 and marries another established character (who also seemed pretty straight, but I could buy this one being bi) they had never interacted with in the prior two seasons. All so they can serve as a convoluted plot device to continue Will and Hannibal's "story".

Fuck, we need a Hannibal thread.

Wait, what the fuck? Is that Hotline Miami?

What message are they4 trying to convey here? HM is a very violent and bloody game.
It's also a much better game than this trashheap of a AAA title.
That Druckmann pulled a Hotline Miami 2 style plot/ending https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Emxf_GOaKgY where everyone dies or is pretty much already dead and unintentionally (for Druckmann) killed the franchise? Just a wild guess
