The Legend of Heroes Series - Possibly The Most Underrated JRPG Series

Powered through and just finished it. Overall not great, maybe a 6/10. Not a lot happened, and unlike Sky 3 (Where not a lot happened either), it was really lacking in good character moments. The only one that really stands out is the final connection event with Renne, so not even one of the main cast.
Nemeth Island was so retarded
Definitely the worst part of the game, would probably rate the game at least a full point higher if not for this chapter.

So i think im near the end of Sky FC. Im up against Col. Richard and damm hes tough, not because of him but because of the 2 automatons nuking my ass. Probably will grind a little just to get sepith and get some quartz. I wont be deterred!

I'm hoping Kai's better than Datbreak 2. That was extremely underwhelming outside of a few character beats I liked.

Excited for the Sky remake. Kinda curious as to how Gungho handles the localization compared to NISA. Hopefully it's less meme-riddled.

Are you using arts? Clock Up EX, Earth Guard and Earth Wall are especially good. If you have Kloe with you, Kaempfer is really effective, but I don't remember if Richard is susceptible to debuffs.

Low fucking bar tbh.

Ive been using Earth Wall/Guard since imo its busted, but since i think i lack the cast speed, the bots always AA Cancel my ass sometimes. I have Kloe just for that since Kampfer is such a strong craft for single targetting. Im gonna grind a little more and make some quartz to optimize. Also noticed that most enemies are susceptible to confuse. Gotta try that out next time i fight him.

A big step up gameplay wise, but the story was really incohrent and full of exposition. The Heiyuu plotline was especially bad for this where stuff just randomly happens out of nowhere without any flair.

Act 3 is a contender for one of the worst arcs in the series. Lamest villain in a long time.
Then again, those arcs where you fight that damn dragon again in CS were so lame that people literally just forget about them.

I FUCKING DID IT!

ive completed FC on Hard! I optimized my team of Joshua, Estelle, Zin and Kloe.

I will now detail my butt-clenching experience with the boss(es). So before i start here is my team roles: Joshua(Dps),Zin(Tank/Dps), Kloe(Healer) and Estelle(Earth Wall spammer)

1st boss- Started taking out the bots, starting with the left one. Spam earth wall while dealing damage to the bots. Woud burst damage during the Kaempfer window. After taking them out, the main boss was a joke since he didnt had big aoe so i would cheese him out(Earth Wall/Kaempfer burst damage)

>I thought i had finished the game, SIKE!

2nd Boss- same strat as the first boss except i had to divide damage since one only took normal attacks and the other was arts. Grindy but was doable

>Okay so noooow i finished the fucking game, let me watch the ending cutsc- FUCK!

3rd boss- same strat as previously but now i have to position slightly better and spamming Joshua AoE S-Craft. The explosions of them dealt surpring little damage so my team could tank them. Didnt know the boss attacks stop after a while which was a fucking blessing. I would use the cooldown windows to burst him down with Zin, Joshua and Kloe's Blue Impact. Annihilation made my asscheek tighten since one instance he almost killed my team and klow survived to do her S-craft. After that it was a slow cheese but i pulled through!

So about the story ending spoilers...HOLY SHIT i didnt see it coming!i knew alba was a shady fuck but never figured he was part of the evil organization. The game lured me into a false sense of security. I was happy for joshua and estelle and i was expecting a happy end where he comes out about his past and shhe confesses and they end up happy. Instead i got the depressing backstory of Joshua and how he got play like a damm fiddle. I understand why he did what he did to estelle, might be cruel but i think hes doing it to keep her safe. Looking forward to SC and i cant wait to play the other entries!

What was your Junior bracer rank in the end? If you beat the final boss at... 5th class or under, Cassius defeats its for you and don't get to play the bit where you can't lose.
Eh cassius came in and cut its hand and then with my team i finished off since we all had s-crafts and got full hp and ep. Probably fucked myself out of the ending since i basically missed the Zeiss side quests since i was too invested in the story that i forgot about them.

No, you got the proper ending to that boss fight. I'm saying if your junior rank is too low, then you don't get to play that part, lol.

So youre saying that if yoi dont properly engage with the game, the game essentially tells you, youre too retarded to finish this, let an actual adult do this.

Deluxe edition of online games was always bullshit. Crazy how games 30 years ago had a lot of effort with what you get with your game, and now you should be thankful if the case comes with a disk.

Keep in mind that you simply just do not need this stuff.
These games are not pay2win. Its all just costumes and items you literally do not need.

If anything, its basically just paying more to support the game.

What in the fuck?

NISA. Enough said. They're a shitty company and their business practices are a complete joke - They put in minimal effort for their localisations and charge above MSRP prices for their slop.

Started SC, downloaded the voice mod and went on hard difficulty cause i like to be challenged.

Honestly seeing Estelle cry and break down was heartbreaking. To see the happy cheerful character just break down reminds me how human the characters are in the game. Met Father Kevin, hes goofball but i dig his cheerful personality, still kinda on the fence about him cause hes from the church but he doesnt seem to be a bad guy. That said my game plan in this game will be the same as in the first game, speedrun to get earth wall, chaos brand and clock up ex.

Question does level transfer from between games? I imported my save file from FC and it started me at the same level i was in FC and got some goodies to start.

Level cap in FC is 50, but the highest level carried over is 40. If you were 40 to 50 in your transfer, you'll be 40. 35 to 39 will be consistent, anything under 35 will just jump you up to 35.
Oh, also, unless you're super anal about doing everything, and following a guide extremely closely. forget about getting an A-rank bracer rank, the game is insanely tight about BP this time around, unlike the first tame.
