That snap broke down like half a second in.

I kinda knew what they were going for. Zeke snaps, rushes up, receives a forward pass and then laterals it to his left.

And then he died.
I thought he was supposed to snap, be forgotten about and then catch a music city miracle backwards pass. But instead he got obliterated. Either way it was funny.

Storylines for next week: 49ers going for 6th ring and Kyle Shanahan redemption versus the Eagles trying to get a 2nd ring (if they did their would be a lot of salt) in the NFCC and meanwhile Bengals going for first ring versus Chiefs going for Mahomes and Reid second ring in AFCC (If I missed something then oops)

I legitimately laughed when I saw Zeke get destroyed.

Honestly I wished they would've broke the huddle at 5s after the Niners TO and quickly ran it out of Power T. If you're gonna do something ridiculous you might as well go all the way.

I honestly like the Cowboys WTF play even better than the Colts' failed fake punt, because:
  • The Cowboys meant to do this in earnest, instead of the goal being to draw a penalty and the failure went the way it did because Pagano forgot to tell his replacement center to not actually snap it
  • They doubled down on attempting it after San Francisco took a timeout to laugh at McCarthy and scheme up a response
  • It was in the Divisional Round instead of a meaningless game in mid-October
  • And Zeke Elliot getting so thoroughly pancaked by the lineman is already the funnier tackle, especially if it pans out that its his last play as a Cowboy.

You forgot the 5th point

- Its the cowboys failing

This shouldn't be too much of a surprise but Belichick is bringing back the butt-chin to be their OC. At this point, anyone who Belichick hires is going to be someone who Bill knows rather than any potential unknown

O'Brien worked with Mac Jones at Alabama, so they should work together well. Now draft a decent WR or three.

I'm guessing this means, considering Mac Jones' relationship with O'Brien, that they're sticking with Mac for now. There were some rumors and some Belichickian non-answers about who was going to QB but I'm not surprised they'd stick with him even after the sophomore slump.

Guess my dreams of a Jimmy G reunion are dashed.

So its another off season of not believing the Aaron Rodgers rumors until they actually happen right? Packers put the price tag of 2 first round draft picks minimum on him and I think he has a no trade clause so he can refuse to go to the shitty teams who would be dumb enough to sign a QB with 1 good year left in him
Considering the single biggest source driving the rumor mill is Dov Kleiman (a totally un-credible pseudonymous twitter acc, there's probably a reason he's never appeared on camera or in photos) regurgitating what was mostly Adam Schefter openly speculating about it in an unrelated interview, yes.
Though if Woody Johnson got suckered into renting an aging HOF Packers QB for a year again, only for the New York media to drive him back to another NFC North team, the memes would be outstanding.

I phucking hate Philly and all their teams. We could flatten the city, salt the earth, and it still wouldn't be enough to rid the world of their stain.

Flip side, I've enjoyed the Purdy Show, and talking heads have been gabbing about this storybook tale for weeks now. I just do not know if the Niners have what it takes to topple Philly. As a team, the 49ers haven't looked good on the road- hell with Purdy, they barely beat the Raiders in Vegas. Purdy and co are going to need some grit to beat Philly in their house. It's a tall ask of any QB, much less a rookie.

(And apologies to Seahawk fans itt. It's been a fun ride to watch the Purdy show so far.)

He does not. Problem is that he's a walking dead cap bomb.

He's cheap for the team receiving him in a trade for next season. They'd only have to pay $15m in 2023. Then his hell contract kicks in and they owe him $128m spread over the next three seasons. I don't know which team would really take that risk for an aging QB who isn't playing that great.

The memes would be great and having a few more draft picks for the Packers to build a team that can consistently finish 3rd in the NFC North with Jordan Love at QB would be an amazing turn for this. Fuck, gonna have to live with a team that doesn't have a top 3 QB in the league for a while now

Its a good thing that nobody in the NFL has ever done anything stupid. Otherwise, someone might do this

Hell, the Packers managed to get through the 70s and 80s. Lynn Dickey was the best of a pretty rough bunch, up until Favre took over in the early 90s. And while Favre did make the games exciting, he also did his level best to keep both teams in the game.
