The Matrix Reloaded portrayed things like ghosts, werewolves and vampires as being leftover programs from older versions of the Matrix that avoided deletion. Déjà vu was explained as something that happens when the Matrix is suddenly changed in the first movie. Basically, anything that could be categorized as paranormal in the Matrix movies was explained away as sudden code changes, bugs or leftover programs that weren't deleted.Has anyone considered what are perceived as paranormal events are simply bugs in a simulation theory existence?

I think simulation theory is kind of interesting and not necessarily in conflict with certain religions if you consider the idea that all creation is just a dream occurring in the mind of God.
I think you nail what bothers me so much about it, there's something very cowardly about it.Simulation theory is interesting. The fact that I’ve never once seen any of the proponents of it take the final step and say ‘if it’s a simulation who is the simulator?’ I find interesting too, it’s like they can’t bear to think that perhaps God created the world and set things up.
Yeah that’s a good way of putting it. Some things we still have no explanation of - I often bring up consciousness as an example. Not a single testable theory for a thing we all experience. It makes you thinkpeople are making up mundane explanations for metaphisical ideas that nag at them and can't do away with despite wanting to be fully materialistic.
Consciousness exists outside of the body, this is proven by multitudes of NDE experiences. In what format that consciousness exists when the mind is shut down nobody knows. Every ancient culture on earth has their own theory. But you have to have your fingers in your ears not to acknowledge that consciousness as in the soul exists outside of your day to day existence. I’ve had an out of body experience, I can tell you categorically that it is true. And this is coming from someone who was an atheist for the majority of his life.Yeah that’s a good way of putting it. Go on…. Interesting.I’ve had an out of body experience,
I never had a full one but I did almost induce one. All you kids at home, try this!Go on…. Interesting.
The search for what is true is done by many while ignoring a large portion of the toolkit humanity has available innately. Much of (particularly western) humanity seems hellbent on ignoring or attempting to exterminate their connection to..let's call it "spirit". Focusing on the without at the expense of the within, etc.The common theory today is that all the myths and religions were dumb ignorant people trying to make theories for science they didn't understand. I think its the other way around, cientism has taken hold so much that people are making up mundane explanations for metaphisical ideas that nag at them and can't do away with despite wanting to be fully materialistic.
Are you willing to talk about it, fren? If not here, then perhaps in a DM? I adore hearing about people's experiences on their own journey towards the truth of things.I’ve had an out of body experience, I can tell you categorically that it is true.
On the contrary - I find this makes you, without exaggeration, the best one I've happened across out in the wild.I think personally that we have something like a soul and I am a scientist. Maybe not a very good one, I seem to entertain heretical ideas
One of many great methods to achieve that state. I would presume that was one of your first/early tries? The buzzing feeling is very common, from what I've seen. One basically has to trick the body into shutting down for the night without their consciousness (seemingly) going along with it.I started to experience a strong buzz through my whole body. Very intense, in addition I had a "eeeeeeeeee" noise in my ears from the vibration I was feeling. Visually I was seeing myself going through a tunnel of swirling colors. It was all very similar to the launching effect of dmt.
Unfortunately my active mind took over going "holy shit! What's happening?!" Knocking myself right out of it. Havent had much of a chance to retry it so cant report the further effects.
This is interesting. You know I read once that people apparently used to have a more biphasic sleep pattern? They’d sleep, wake up for an hour or two and do stuff that was chill and then go back to sleep. It makes you wonder how people’s experiences of sleep was different. I find myself going to bed early as I can, then awake 1-2 am no matter what. I will try the rope thinggo to bed for around 4 hours
2) wake up and do something for an hour.
Naturally approached, yeah. I played around with lsd, and mushrooms and dmt before but just enough time to count on one hand. Would much rather go about it naturally then with "aids". Will say this way felt much different in my opinion, felt more real then using psychoactive chemicals. One of many great methods to achieve that state. Also waking up and doing something low intensity then going back to bed is how you deal with kids having nightmares/terrors at regular times.
Sorry double post but this was exactly the mindset the old ones had. I approach it the same (though I don't have any fancy degrees of sciencing).Yeah I agree - I think personally that we have something like a soul and I am a scientist.
And I do not believe these things really can be properly explained in a satisfactory way in the realm of the physical, let's say.All our knowledge and we cannot explain consciousness, or love, or thought.
People have been taught for a long time (particularly in Christendom) that "occult" is a dirty word to be feared and reviled. Would that they understood the utterings of dark sayings of old."occult" thinking
How so? Substances or dreams or similar? Do expandI've quite recently had the pleasure of experiencing the "Fek behind Fek", so to speak.
