On the last MATI Josh was wondering about why the Alice in pooner images is called that or where it comes from

The character itself comes from the "boymoder" used on /lgbt/ and the same/adjacent subreddits pooners came from. It's an MTF troon taking estrogen that still dresses and acts masculine because they are in the closet about it. On /lgbt/ they represent this concept using this anime (of course) character Menhera, apparently the shoulder length unkempt hair and hoodie evokes "literally me" in troons, they claim the hoodie hides the estrogen moobs. Where the name "Alice" comes from I don't know, it could be superjail.

I've gotten an AI to churn out some impressive MtFs, but no matter how carefully I word the prompts the pooner concept eludes it. These are its best attempts.

I immediately thought of Alice from the Adult Swim show Super Jail and think this is likely what the character's name is a reference to. For those who don't know. Alice is a MTF prison guard. If you haven't seen the show I recommend you check it out.

More than grotesque, they're transcendentally uncanny and offputting in context. Outside of OP and anybody who said it in the first few pages, I don't know how many users have supposed these to be an unwitting peer into the minds of these FtMs, as though they're semi-unconsciously yet blatantly being compelled by some unseen force and/or the tides of the collective unconscious to represent their insecurities in fecund fashion without putting them into direct statements.

I don't imagine they're satirizing negative attitudes and perceptions posed against them, given the captions and scenarios for some of them (as featured in the OP, at the least). For the same reasons, rather than "ugly cute", it's as though they're supposed to be "pitiable".

While I find it strange how many here can merely laugh at these, I'm not begrudging anyone for them. I'm just saying that I personally find it all unnerving... and, well, pitiable.

then whats the fricking point? if anything they could pull the "nonbinary" or gender neutral card whenever they pass or not but they really trap themselves into this identity limbo, the whole gender stuff can be seem "all made up" but this is like a made up term within existing transgederism
