Someone made the toddler diapers in TS4 usable by children:

Fortunately, there's not actual wetting or soiling interactions with them. And while the creator claims that they can be used for RPing purposes, his avatar, and other CC items, say otherwise:

Or, you don’t see Nervous, the sim with 0 Nice points, as a cute gay softboi who just wants to be loved? MONSTER. Meanwhile Nervous is over here picking fights with other sims for no reason.

>Dislikes Women
>0 in most personality traits
>Sleeps in basement

The only way to play Nervous Subject right is to make him an incel. The only time he gets a girl (Sims 2 PSP) he's fucking dead.

https://github.com/voicemxil/TS2-Starter-Pack is great, comes with some fixes already included makes set up much easier
As much as I enjoyed The Sims 2, I liked the customisation options and full open world of The Sims 3; I wish there was something like this for TS3.

Sadly TS3 is 32-bit and so is unable to use more than 3.7GB RAM. No matter how good your computer is, it chugs when you've got all expansions installed and custom content. I actually find it unplayable unless you install the "smooth patch", that mod that condenses swatch options in create a sim, all the different NRAAS mods and then try playing in a custom empty world... but after all that there are performance issues. There was a 64-bit version released for Mac because later versions of MacOS can't run 32-bit applications, but EA has no intentions of releasing a 64-bit Sims 3 for PC (and it can't really be modded because that basically needs a rewrite of the source code).

Way back in the day, Maxis made SimCity, then more educational vidya like SimEarth and SimAnt. The more educational software seems to have not been very popular, as the SimCity series is the only one of them that got sequels. Then they released the first Sims game in the late '90s (IIRC), which was the 2DCG with isometric used (a popular trend in the 1990s). And now The Sims is a Clown World vidya.

I tried sims 3 again this year, with all the fixes, and it was still such a buggy mess with my sims randomly disappearing, random crashes etc so I just gave up. I really wanted to start my own town and downloaded some really nice custom maps but the unpredictable crashing was too much. I'll just stick with sims 2 and my predictable pink flashing and crashing.

And now it seems The Sims is another Western Clown World vidya series.
it's EA now and no Will Wright, he was really passionate about the sims, he had to convince them to add the bladder need because apparently it's gross and we can't have that...in a life sim. The old games let you have all the control and you could customize the world so much, or make new maps in simcity for the sims 2. It's still popular to turn the sims 2 into a medieval game. You just get mods to add what you want... sims 4 you gotta mod shit out, get rid of the ugly fucking trannies everywhere, don't know if you can get rid of their gay pronouns. You can't edit or create the towns, you're stuck with what you got, and like 6 lots, whereas in sims 2 people make ones with hundreds... anyway they ruined the sims i hope it dies like simcity now so they can stop torturing it

Current Year sucks.

Also, EA used to be "Electronic Arts", and they were more "normal" back in the day. The software from them were one-time purchases, with no DLC or other ongoing payment BS.
unfortunately they all seem to turn retarded once big enough, they're going for an online sims game now, even though they already backed out once before because it was not a popular choice. Games are so big and expensive now no one takes risks to make something really unique, maybe indie devs, but they don't have the funds or means to really make their ideas so then it's all just half AI slop. Wrong thread for this but I loved the old The Movies game so much and there's two new games trying to copy it, and somehow they are both way worse than a game from 2006.

The neighbourhood limitations are one thing that puts me off trying the Sims 4. I get some of the logic of it - some of the Sims 4 neighbourhoods have highly customised storylines (the lab in Strangertown, the bog in the new Life & Death pack, whatever's going on with the werewolves) or features (the vegetable competitions in the English village one)... but I doubt they have much replay value and the main appeal of the Sims was you can create your own little worlds. They've brought the latest offering more in line with some of the console versions.

When Sims 4 launched the base game was broken and lacking in content, which put me off trying it - partially because it was originally designed to be an always-online multiplayer game, and they panicked after their last SimCity tanked. I know it's significantly more developed now but EA have said they're not developing "Sims 5" (Project Renee seems to be something like The Sims Online or their original TS4 vision) so they can keep funnelling people into buying DLC. This thread clued me in that pirating the Sims 4 is actually pretty easy, but the full game with all DLC is 45 GB and I don't know that I'd want to sacrifice that much of one of my hard drives to it when I'm not exactly enthusiastic with the current offering - the lack of the Create a Swatch tool is particularly galling (and they've no motivation to fix it because it keeps people buying DLC).

From my understanding the transgender and non binary sims don't randomly spawn, so you just need to know who the premade sims are.

Anadius' updater let's you select which dlcs to download. Grab the base game, its f2p now, grab his updater and follow the directions. You can always add more dlcs later.

As someone who's pirated almost all the DLC for Sims 4 I can tell you the game is so boring as to be almost unplayable without mods. Even the good things like the supernatural and scifi content and the archaeology pack eventually get repetitive. All the mods that make the game worth playing causes worse performance issues than TS3, which is still the superior game in almost every way.

Anyone else sick of the free battlepass shit events? Just give us a sims delivery. I never remember to do the in game cheat to show event items.
It's funny cause battlepasses are a great way to bait engagement without even being risky. It could've been 8 item recolors for 30 hours of playtime and the sims drones would play it
