This is probably a stupid question, but how can the trial be nearly over when no defense witnesses have testified yet? Even assuming all testimony from this point on is defense testimony then that still means twice as much prosecution as defense testimony. Has it just been the case that so much of the prosecution testimony has been utterly extraneous that there's simply no need for the defense to waste as much of the court's time in establishing its own case?

If corporate news doesn't cover the defense, then it didn't happen for about half of Americans.

The defense may not have an equal amount of evidence to bring, may have less witnesses, ect.

Doesn't mean their evidence is weaker, idk. Its a mystery.

If the elites and TPTB have proved anything, it's that they have the ability to set back race relations if it meant having control or making money.

I'm only in my 20s, yet I have never encountered such blatant racism and entitlement in my life thus far. If the intent was to make Black people look bad, then mission accomplished. Worst thing is that we're feeding that to those that WANT to see that happen. Literal issues that plague the Black community are amplified now since George Floyd.

Live in a town with a low population. Dealing with people is too much, especially with current events. I thought that COVID would turn things around; no, it made it worse. Now, the next story I hear about a cop killing a Black person; I think, oh shit, that city is going to burn.

What the hell happened?

Multiple possible reasons. The defense might not just have the same sheer mind numbing number of witnesses.

You also have to remember that it's the prosecution's job to build the airtight narrative from point A to point Z. All Nelson has to do is introduce enough reasonable doubt.

The prosecution called every person who was on the street, everyone in the Minneapolis police department, every paid shill they could afford plus some they couldn't, and a parade of children crying about how sad St. Floyd's death made them. The defense seems to be trying to make a more focused, refined case with fewer witnesses; that doesn't mean it's worse, on the contrary, a shorter focused case will stick in the minds of the jurors better.

Keep in mind that not every day has been 24/7 court in session. We've had numerous breaks and recesses over the weekends and Easter holiday.

And then there's Judge Fuckass, who takes a break every ten minutes.

the area I live in has been taken over rather quickly by inner city blacks
Same situation I'm in. It was not even 5 years ago things were rather peaceful where I lived and hearing sirens were an event of sorts. All of the sudden, almost over night, we started to get an influx of inner city blacks. Now it's every fucking day and every fucking night I'm alerted to the sounds of emergency vehicles speeding by. I hear them so often now I don't even react when it happens. Just last year before the election, a black guy and his thug friends entered one of my neighbor's backyard to hide from the police that were chasing them for flashing their pistol out in the public like a jackass and making threats. Four squad cars rolled up in my neighborhood just to get the fuckers. This is the kind of shit you'd here about on the news and it was always contained inside the city. But now we have front row seats because all these ingrates moved in with their gibsmedat money and don't respect the people who have lived here before them. Thankfully, my city has a trailer park full of gun toting redneck motherfuckers who prevented any "protests" from taking place inside the city last year.

If they live in a licensed open carry state they should embrace that. It's quite effective.
It's my plan to move up north to a small-mediumish sized town soon that has zero tolerance for "peaceful protests" and is very 2A friendly. I might suggest doing that when I get there.

Tossers. Tossers is what happened

Even if an innocent man goes to prison as naked appeasement and police across the country fear to do their jobs I now think the worst thing that will come out of this trial is "banana mayonnaise sandwiches." Are we going to see these being retroactively declared a traditional Juneteenth dish? I'd like to see someone try to gag one down

There has to be some strange shit afoot. I just looked at property in Illinois on Redfin. Some small communities have the oldest listing at 7-9 days. Other communities, some of the same size but most a bit larger, have listings months old. I can't see any rhyme or reason to it. So is homebuyer demand that crazy or do banks have something to do with it?

If its the banks you can bet some of those homes will go to brave POC who will diversify Americas small towns ;^)))))))))))))
fed has been printing money at absolutely insane rates.
where does that surplus money go? banks and financial institutions.
what do banks and financial institutions do when they have excessive amounts of surplus money? invest in real estate.
