The Witcher Game Series

Really hate how much of a mary sue Ciri is in the witcher 3 with the world suddenly revolving around her. Even she is sick of it and the band of alien elf simps murdering any potential boyfriend she finds. Geralt even helps go back and bury the body of one as a reddit dad character beating up everyone who even mildly annoys her. The real main story is Blood & wine.

The wild hunt? More like "Finding Ciri". The war with Nilfgaard set up by the Witcher 2 and the mystery behind the wild hunt take a backseat to chasing around the writer's ashen haired waifu for the majority of the game. They even cut Ioerveth from the game. She never got a chance to earn her stripes like Geralt despite wanting to.

You know that Ciri is a massive Mary Sue and walking mguffin in the novels too right? CDPR didn't make that up.

Yes. The books are pretty much power fantasy for teenage girls: court drama, aristocrats, clothes/boots porn, protagonist who's not only a princess but also a former bandit with street cred, lesbian, most powerful magic user ever and the object of obsession of every cool male character. That's for the saga, the short story collections (all 2 of them not counting the 2 recent cash-ins) are more Geralt & The Monster of the Week format.

My point was that CD Project feels the need to berate their customers for not liking the product, almost as if making a friggin' game people would want to play was the least of their priorities. TBH I don't get the controversy, nuCiri looks like every milfy woman who gained weight with age but I did not play the games so I could be missing something.

I don’t think the new model looks bad, but I hate how inconsistent they are across all the games. Triss and Geralt look completely different in every single game, W4 Ciri looks nothing like she did in W3 on top of having a new voice.

They should have just put a nail in the current saga, and started fresh from 500 years in the past or something.

It couldn't be any worse than what Netflix shit out for Blood Origin. Or maybe it would if the new people at CDPR aren't much different from the average Netflix writer.
Seriously though, all they have to do to correct everything is just pick any point in Witcher history where all the schools are active, then make a Monster Hunter clone where you pick a school (they could even add Ban Ard and Aretuza to add sorcerer/sorceress) and create a character then go start collecting your coin. Or if they want to be lazy have one premade character represent each school like a job class and make it something like Golden Axe or a dungeon crawler like Diablo. I know it sounds like I'm just saying to rip off other games but there's so many more things they could do instead of just girlboss Ciri fighting the most evil moster of all.... The Patriarchy!!!

These fuckers can't even learn lessons from the games they made. Blood and Wine was a perfect capstone to the series because after all the grime and misery of the series up to that point, Geralt got his happy ending in picturesque Toussaint being a minor noble with nothing to do but drink fine wine and bang Yenn all day.

Actually I think it was one of their most unintentionally smart moves. The Witcher as an IP suffers every time it's trying to be some grand fantasy epic with a universe hopping 13 year old getting lesbian raped. It is at its best when it's Geralt being a fantasy exterminator or blundering his way through corrupt medieval politics.

Nah they won't, they know they need him to make money. He'll show up for maybe one quest or something and then just decide to not partake in whatever is going on.

Surely CDPR writers possess functioning brains and are able to recognize dogshit when they see it.

Why didn't they retcon the fuck out of that, or just ignored it? Woke authors do it all the fucking time when it's something they dislike.

Then again, they are the fuckwits building a whole game around this premise, so obviously not.
