Tips Goals - Peepul have been asking for them dood

Remember: his goal is to get $200 per day, not per stream, so the current total is "only" $210 short of what he was aiming for after 5 days. Though, let's not forget a pretty sizeable chunk of that has been gathered through (miserably failed) trolling attempts. I mean, if you only take away that one big $121 troll donation by The Goutening, he'd be at "only" $669.

Wouldn't surprise me if he deems this a success, and will be doing more of these goals in the future.

I'll check the tips later on, but my guess would be that he just put the wrong number up, somebody in chat pointed it out, and he changed it silently. He's done that once before, though he usually caught it right away. Given how salty he was today, he might have just not been paying attention.

Edit: Ok. Checked the tape and the logs. Phil said there were two tips from someone named "star beast" of $3 and $8. He changed the total from $40 to $48 because he's tardy. There was someone in chat named starbeasts who was talking repeatedly about titty milk and wanting titty milk from Phil who also subbed. The tip message said something about titty milk as well.

I can't find the point where he changed the tip total back to $40, but he also didn't say anything one way or the other, and it doesn't appear as though starbeasts was banned or anything. So I have no idea what happened with that unless it was successfully charged back.

Late edit: Starbeasts tipped another $5 today and it hasn't been taken off. So it's really not clear what happened unless starbeasts fucked up and his attempted tips were declined.

...or he's hiding tips? He did something similar during Minecraft. He didn't add a Tip to the total. When asked about it, he said he had forgotten about the first one when another Tip dropped and then could not remember what the first one was ($5 ). He went on to not add either to the Tip goal tally while encouraging people to Tip because 1) the goal had not been met, but it was so close ( under $50 shy ) and 2) the stream would be ending soon, so Tip now so we can reach the goal....he went on to play for another 30mins.

Maybe, but he added the larger tip before later removing it while making a super pissy face. I think in this case you can just attribute it to stupidity compounded by pouting rather than malice.

Along a similar vein, while I cannot find the part where he says it*, during the post Goutening Minecraft stream D$P admonished viewers that the Total Tips ( having dropped the goal part) may not be accurate due to troll activity during the 1st stream. He implied that those Tips might be 'charged back'. This flies in the face of his previous claims that absolutely no tip had even been taken away from him. Not that our boy would ever tell an untruth or anything, but it's food for thought.

* I suspect a small editing job done later to retcon this lore conflicting admission. I will go back after work and watch the entire stream again in case I missed it as I recall he mentioned this briefly and only once.

Our boy Dark was also talking about needing tips to pay off a, “loan.” Whoever gave this man a loan is off their fucking rocker.

Does anyone have any clue what type of loan we’re talking about here?
 
Oh wow, did he really only get $12 in tips on his second stream yesterday? He ended the first one with $109, and at the end of the second stream the total was $121. Ouch.

Well, on his pre-stream of January 7th, the first stream with the daily tips goal, he said: "I don't get paid for another 8 days from Twitch" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FH9nNQwokvI at 17:56). So that should be the 15th (yesterday).

So Twitch should've paid him by the time he's streaming on the 16th, so it's going to be interesting to see whether or not he still has the tips goal up and, if he does, what he has to say about that.

Either way, this is the current and possibly final haul:

How sad is that? Dark absolutely LOVES to talk shit on the 9-5 crowd, as if we are somehow below him. The funny thing? A bit of powerleveling (what happened to the power level emote?) I made about $320 yesterday doing my job, and most of the 16 hour day was spent sleeping on a chair as my client slept in his bed. I did far less work than Dark and made way more money. This dude puts up a top goal of $200. That’s the equivalent on me holding up a sign that says, “minimum salary; $xxx,” to the agency I work for. That would go over like a lead balloon.

Even when he’s begging at his lowest, even when he’s trying to squeeze as much blood from the stone as humanly possible, even when he’s absolutely clowning it up...

Dark still can’t touch a stable 9-5 job with benefits and PTO. I still long for the day that he’s forced to get a normal job, because I imagine he would still continue to stream on his off time... I just want to hear the salt, the spite from a man who is forced to finally work for a living.

Maybe one day.

No. HE WILL NEVER WORK AGAIN. Worst case scenario he will move back to his parents and stream from there. No more IRL job, Im ready to bet a big ammount of money on this.
