As recently as the 90s? Multiple partners throughout a lifetime became accepted by many (if not most youths) starting in the 1960s because of the sexual revolution and continues to this day. Goldmark (and people like this) are still stuck under the illusion that most people waited until marriage 20 or so years ago when that has become progressively less common for over fifty years.
Goldmark's comment on "marriage is outdated" steams from his own failed marriage, especially with new details outed by kousagi10 and his ex-wife. He is a controlling, abusive shithead with no concept of nuance (only contempt for his enemies) and cares for no one but himself (and he doesn't even do that right). Comments like these proves that Goldmark learned nothing from his divorce. Instead he thinks that widespread acceptance of polygamy within marriage would fix his problem.
Par for the course for someone with no self-awareness.

Why are those the only two options? I think the fact feminists are starting to get freaked out about men who toss around the label is one of the most self-aware things they've done in recent years. I know Tony's not going to do anything positive for anyone but you could just treat them as people without trying to feel special about it. It's literally both the optimal path and the one that requires the least amount of effort.
