It was one of those things that migrated from LJ communities and feminist blogs onto Tumblr, where it's now expected that you tag triggers for anything. "Eyes" and "teeth" are tags I see pretty often, because apparently eyeballs and close-ups of teeth bother some people.

I reblogged a cap of a 4chan post one time, discussing squids coming out of the ocean to conquer earth. I got an ask shortly after asking me to tag squids. There was no squid pictured in the post. The very idea of a squid uprising made this person uncomfortable and they wanted me to tag it so they did not have to contemplate a world ruled by cephalopods.

I think a lot of these people were too young to have stumbled across Ogrish and Rotten.com in their heyday. Lord knows how they'd react to goatse.

I hate people who tag any monster creature as body horror, like yeah I'm really going to be thrown into a panic attack by your shitty anime version of the triangle cyclops from gravity falls

Actual message sent about a photoset full of silly sketches, one of them with "derp" written next to a character trying too hard to be expressive. I sure do love the extensive and educational explanation they give as to why "dirp" is ableist. Oh wait.
It must suck to live with a mindset that the use of stupid words such as "dorp" could possibly, maybe offend someone. Because poor disabled people certainly are too frail to handle someone using "durp" in any context.
I've certainly learned my lesson. I'll never use "darp" again.

Tumblr is full of retarded, spastic mongoloids with Down's syndrome as the kyriarchy calls them but the politically correct term is special snowflake
 
Today I found "eye contact" as a trigger warning.

How do these people even go outside? Oh wait, they're on Tumblr. They don't go outside.
