Ubisoft Sellout - Bankruptcy Speedrun Any% Thread

PSA for people that are thinking about buying an Ubisoft game, there's no guarantee that you'll continue to have access to your purchased title indefinitely.
Technically not true unless the game depends on a central server to function. Buy a hard drive and download every game you ever buy on it. Then, there is jack shit the platform can do anything about it, even if they "take away" the game from you. Cracks are laughably easy to find for most games, once you have it it's yours. I do this not just on game by game bases but also on patch by patch bases, in case something gets fucked up, removed, or they try to sneak in fucking denuvo or similar cancer in the update(Resident Evil 5 did a while ago and that's why I will have to look for a crack for a game I fucking paid for if I want to play it again. Never give money to Capcom).

I could be wrong but Ubisoft has been a tad quiet with A.C Shadows, probably knowing that this game is bound to be a financial and critical disaster (outside of the circle jerk shill reviews which, yeah, no one that matters listens to those). They have pissed off a whole nation and said nation made it very fucking clear that they will boycott this game wherever possible as payback.

Ubisoft and Bioware are in deep shit as of late, with high risk of them getting shut down.

just make another Splinter Cell you baguettefaggots

If this was old school Ubisoft, maybe but this is "Nigger Samurai in Chinese Japan" Ubisoft.

Believe me, you dont actually want that. Veterans need to learn that their franchises being forgotten by the mainstream is a blessing in disguise.

If they released Xdefiant on steam they would have made more money and had more players. If Ubisoft wants to trim the fat then get rid of Uplay. Everyone hates Uplay. Put your games on steam. Sure you give up 30% of your revenue but you get more customers.

There is a certain level of corporate pride that comes with decisions like this. We know it would be more practical to put it on Steam but good luck convincing prideful executives of that.

It doesnt help that nearly every non Steam launcher is garbage and bloatware ish.

I think some of them believe that it "devalues" the brand by putting it on Steam and not having their own launcher...now, of course, they dont seem to think that bad games devalue their precious brand so what do I know?

If you act like Beavis & Butthead for long enough, you will become Beavis & Butthead.

Ubisoft has spent too much time being retards that they forgot how to make a good game. And by that I mean, the guys who knew how to do so are long gone, either making their own studios or doing highly paid independent work, called upon by big studios precisely because the people they've hired to replace them are paste-eating retards who don't know how to write and make games.

Same thing has happened to Bioware, CDPR, 343 Studios, Sony of America... pretty much every major Western developer, honestly. Small studios (not indie, but somewhere between it and the AAAs) and Japan are the only thing holding gaming afloat.

You'd think if they're trying to "compete" with Call of Duty, they'd understand how fickle the great CoD community can be.

"Studios dont make games, devs make games." is a lesson that is being learned the hard way by many. We are watching many once proud studios dragging their own reputations through the sewage mud, not getting that altho the name is the same, the core team and its values have long since changed. It doesnt help when the good games that they made were created when they were smaller and/or had more creative freedom, while now they are bigger, bloated and filled with executive demands from shortsightened idiots higher on the corporate food chain.

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but 8thots is a troll. Anyone that takes him seriously clearly never watched him much. He's into starting drama too, do the math.
Sure he trolls a lot but he was right about XDefiant and the CoD-bashing content creators hyping up a game for clicks.

What's the point of a buyout if you're not gonna reduce the control of the faggots who've ruined it in the first place?
To gain a larger percentage than the faggots and be able to out-vote them.
The family held about 20.5% of Ubisoft's net voting rights while Tencent owned 9.2% as of the end of April, as per the firm's latest annual report.
If the shareholders believe the french family is the problem, they only need to be able to have enough voting rights to out-vote them. If they think it's the family and tencent, then they need 30%. It's as simple as that.

For once I'm halfway excited for State-mandated nog-worship month in February. I'm genuinely curious as to Ubisoft's hottentot-huffing plans regarding we wuz samurai. Will they show off a new trailer of their pet monkey killing asians, wiki-revised-history and all? Will the Negrorai mysteriously look north african instead of sub-saharan? I am eager to see the damage control and to laugh at it.

Such sights we will see next year

you'd have to replace half the workforce since they're fully infested with DEI, and there's a lot of them. and while doing so you won't make any money till you get the new staff up to speed.
That's very optimistic of you to think that anyone would rebuild ubisoft. They will just burn all their money on hiring contractors on 6 months long stints so nobody will know how to work in the company or what they are trying to make.

I actually like for honor but just the hassle of dealing with uplay stops me from booting up every once in a while. Or at least make it seamless to interact with when booting through other storefronts
