Ubisoft has "mystery big game" that will release until April:
They are considering Just Dance DLC pack as a game, what a bunch of jokers, also no mention of The Division Heartland and the other AssCreed games.
it will be one of those, since ubisoft said some time ago they're working on a bunch of division AND asscreed games (iirc asscreet alone was 5 games or something, think someone posted it a few pages back but I'm too lazy to check). not much more left to milk. smart move would be to revive ghost recon fast and try to fill battlefield's space while cod is cod, but again, that would be smart so highly unlikely.
or it's something out of left field, but inevitably another ubisoft game by missing the point, missing the trend and trying way too hard to be "hip and cool"... so probably a ghost recon pvpve extraction shooter with siege cosmetics, tarkov seems to be popular these days, right?
The precursors and Subject Sixteen were the most interesting bits of AC lore after 2. Fuck those people.
I would be far more forgiving of Black Flag's story if Edward just embraced being an asshole instead of pretending like he was a good person, like everyone else in that plot did. Mary thought the world of him? Fucking how? He was only ever out for himself. Maybe that was just Anne trying to make him feel better, but it doesn't feel like that at all.
damn, completely forgot about sixteen...
what didn't help was that the plot was severely mishandled, I think you finish 3 and then still have to deal with all the modern stuff, the pacing was just off. I can understand why initially desmond was supposed to get the abilities because then the last third, if not half of the game would be desmond fucking up abstergo and THAT would be the climax in itself, and more importantly actually feel like one. even the fucking movie did that one better.
they could've even pulled a metroid, have desmond die (but still accomplish the task), so now the assassins have to start from scratch and find and train someone else. otoh with abstergo gone what's the point?
same for the precursor stuff, which could've worked, but "no you see there's an even BIGGER villain behind the last one" is some WoW-tier writing. it
can work, but it needs to be handled properly. the point to introduce that, or at least the real scope, would be with abstergo gone, possible showing they were fighting them too, turning them into a shade of grey (although I expect quite a few people would've thought that twist lame). however that would give the assassins a reason to create a desmond 2.0. and the precursors would replace abstergo as the villain, not muddy the waters with different factions - which is even more retarded WoW-tier writing because there are some dudes who want to end the fucking world, but yeah let's not team up to prevent that but rather squabble about... (not that's impossible to do, and different characters/faction can and should have their own agenda, but managing that requires very good writing talent and planning to not look dumb af with retarded twists and other asspulls).
ubisoft kinda fucked themselves with the popularity of ezio and trying to replicate it. 3 should've been several characters you go through while things speed up towards the climax, they kinda did that with haytham and then connor, but that is where it gets stuck and overstays it's welcome. cut most of that, add liberation and maybe rogue into 3 instead of milking it, then finish that chapter with a bang. properly planned out you can still do liberation and rogue as a pre/sequel sidegame after introducing the characters, and you could even gauge their popularity.
plenty of ways to go about, but that's ubisoft.
Black Flag. It's the only Ass' Creed game I own.
speaking of...
usually dislike posting streamers, but he made a cheers reference so he gets a pass this time.
