You guys should really stop playing UbiWoke slop.

Every time I see this thread popping up I hope it's about them getting finally closed. A decade of slop and still in business, and I'm not even talking about the wokeness.

Not looking good , or looking good for Rayman to escape Ubisoft jail
Who in the fuck even remembers Cold Fear? Or any other one of these games, for that matter?
Not looking good if Ubisoft is doing a garage sale for their forgotten IPs. Before long, they will have to pull an Interplay and sell off their most beloved franchises for what amounts to pennies in this industry, oh except the ones that Tencent now calls the shots for lmfao

Atari acquires rights to Ubisoft’s Cold Fear, I Am Alive, Child of Eden, Grow Home, and Grow Up
I guess no normies or people that only play AAA games have never played any of these. But i have played them and all these are interesting good AA/indie games. So its nice to see Atari get these games and see them leave Ubisofts dusty storage cellar and hopefully get a second chance. A remake of Cold Fear, an enhanced hd ports for I Am Alive, a VR treatment of Child of Eden and a Grow home/up collection would be nice. If they all get physical releases i will pick them up. I Am Alive and Grow Home, and Grow Up never got a physical releases.

Was Cold Fear the one that was basically Resident Evil 4 on a boat? I think I own a copy but I've never played it.

You think the small kiwi base who happen to like games is the ones holding that company up?

I swear people need to wake up to the fact that the west in general is now the minority. Fuck me, even the Simpsons in the 90s was making "foreign markets" jokes.

If you want to make an impact with that kinda talk, you need top put it in languages that the Chinese and Indians can reads. I think English is now the 3rd most used language online, and slipping as the years go by.

The only thing I remember is that every closet, and I mean every single one, without fail, has a zombie in it ready to scare-jump you. Avoid them at all costs like you're an insecure gay man if you ever play this game, but yeah from what I remember it was a western take on RE4, released not long after.

So I randomly checked my Task Manager, and I had Ubisoft Connect running for absolutely no reason. I only keep it around because I got a few free games on my account I might play someday, I haven't actually opened up the launcher in months. Quick look around the web shows that apparently the app just opens and closes whenever it feels like it, to do god knows what. Considering we're talking about Ubisoft here, it could mean anything from mandatory background updates without informing the user to blatant data gathering, and yes I did check my settings to see if I had the app set to run on some sort of schedule or auto-start, nothing like that is the case here.

I'm going to uninstall this piece of shit, and if anyone is keeping the launcher around but not actively using it, I suggest you do the same.

I'm more surprised Ubisoft really sent Outlaws out to die a second time on a new platform.

Will people rejecting game keycards be the next excuse for why their shit game doesn't sell?

That being said, just install the fucking game data to the SD express card. Problem solved. You know, the same thing every damned game on playstation and xbox does?
That was my thought, too. I still buy physical when possible and I've noticed it takes just as long (sometimes longer) to install a game from disc as it does to download it to my console. I assume that's because virtually nothing is actually read off the disc any more, except maybe a check to say it's okay to launch it.

Even the check to verify something is OK to launch doesn't make sense to do off the disc when it can be done server-side. Discs are slower than SSDs(especially for random reads) that consoles finally have, and take time to manufacture and distribute around the world prior to the launch date of a game. The physical media for most games is useless as it could be months behind whatever the day 1 patch is.

Nintendo on the other hand, charges $90 for a cart where the game is supposedly mostly on the cartridge, and $80 for a game code cart which is nothing more than basically a key that downloads the game from the eshop and that's what Ubisoft is doing in this case.

I just meant in the sense that my game won't launch if I take the disc out, so it's presumably what's being used to verify the copy is legit.

AAA LET ME SLOP

However superior ghosts of sushi is, it just made me itch to play AC. It's what you expect and nothing more. The price is still steep but I know i'll get some tens of hours out of it unlike the modern 18 hour "wow so good" type shit.

Give it like an year or 2, it failed so badly it might be free on either Epic, Prime Gaming, or, god forbid, possibly on U-Play.

Why are you still so fucking obsessed with Assassin's BBC you fucking retard consoomer? You've been writing similar "need to consoom the we wuz samuraiz gaem" shit for months (probably a year even) now.

Even if it was for free he would spend money for an extra copy, he has the strange obsession of just HAVING to pay for broken/bad/woke games, only to then complain about them being broken/bad/woke. No regrets though, money well spent! :)

On today's exciting episode of how are The Division's devs this fucking bad. Apparently some people are doing last season's master mode manhunt and instead of getting the Tinkerer they're being given the Tempest pistol, which is supposed to be the reward for this season's master mode when it comes out in a couple of months.
