Undertale

I know i'm really late to the party but i got around to playing through this today because it's on gamepass now.

It was fine, i guess?

Not nearly as obnoxious as the uber-fans of it i've encountered would suggest it was going to be. Pretty much just a bunch of characters who encapsulated internet humour back when the game originally released, can't say i really cared about any of them or found them that memorable.

The bullet hell combat felt like my cursor was moving through treacle to the point where i thought it was a bug or i'd missed some part of the tutorial to press a button to make it faster or whatever.

I won't bother with the free spin off thing and i doubt i'd play a sequel but it wasn't a bad way to spend a rainy afternoon and the music was pretty great in parts. Not sure why some people are quite so obsessed with the game though.

The fanbase is utter cancer. If you need more proof of that than the videos already posted look at Samael Butterdragon's thread.

The game itself is honestly pretty cute and aside from the humor wearing thin in spots and TobyFox getting all moralizer with the Genocide run tainting EVERY RUN AFTER IT... it's fun for what it is.

Yeah, but it got forever tainted for me due to how obsessed my faggy former friends were, especially my former psychology-major drinking friend who was a sack of cringe obsessed with one of the skeletons and who would stream herself playing it with her simp bf and going "AWWWWWWWWWWW THE FEEEEEEEEEEELSSSSSSS" at Every. Single. Line.

She turned into a communist anarchotroon lolcow who demands to be called "Antonio" but treated like a princess, her simp bf became "his" beta wingman, started supporting false #poundmetoo claims because "collateral damage is necessary to send a message", keeps trying to rile up people with her degeneracy just to whine about "fascist boomers and incels" otherwise she has no purpose on this gay Earth, and now recently thinks she's Rohan Kishibe from JoJo.

I've had people go out of their way to try and ruin any number of other games for me either in advance or after the fact and I generally don't let them unless I just didn't like the game that much at all. Still have Night in the Woods in my library even though I hate the guts of nearly everyone alive associated with it and really only find a couple characters at most relatable for any length of time. It was OK.

I finished my playtrough of the neutral run last week and it suprised me how much i liked it(i only spend like 4 bucks on it so that helps.)
I avoided the fanbase like cancer so that spared me of the more cringy parts of it and the spoilers, but i honestly tought the game could not be finished at the end and the final boss was nearly impossible.

you can play Deltarune instead, It's a 3 hour full game with improvements to the Undertale engine.
 
Okay so there's a Youtuber named "LiterallyNoOne" and they'll most known for making fun Sans remixes of songs, something I got really stale really fast and you can even see their audience starting to get fed up with it cuz it's literally just the same joke repeated ad nauseam.

But thankfully at some point they realized that and started making other remixes to try and mix it up but don't worry they still a ridiculous number of Sans remixes even if the joke is basically dead at this point.

Right now they'll making alot more Fnf songs (plus uploading mods of them to GameBanana) to cash in on it's popularity before it fades into a relevancy and I mean to the point that it's basically their main content at this point.

Also I am almost positive they are a tranny.

For every great video this guy makes, he makes another 3 dedicated to capturing his own farts in a jar and huffing them. I.e. his Amnesia 2 and 3 videos, this video. I also dislike his general "not to get negative, guys!" vibe. Bare some teeth every once and a while, at least pretend you feel human emotion.

I recommend a guy called PatricianTV. He doesn't articulate his points as well all of the time, and he generally makes a lot of dumb mistakes, but it really only makes him all the less pretentious at the end of the day. He treats reviews like reviews and not like some University thesis.

I think his Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs video was pretty neat but that might be because that's the only one I've watched, the story is pretty deep (I normally hate using that word but yeah) and intriguing in the themes it handles.

It's a fair better story then Amnesia: Rebirth that's for sure, that game's whole story can be summed up as "meh baby". Anyways even if you dislike the game you have to admit that it's ending is god tier, there is so much emotion in it and you can tell that the voice actor really put his all into it.

But going back to his video, it somewhat feels like a joke at places but I do agree with what he says in it like how it being game is almost integral for it to work properly with it showcasing the lack of freedom that feel in our everyday lives, working to make the rich richer and knowing that there's nothing we can do about it. (although I personally believe that it was meant to be the hopelessness that Mandus felt after he left the temple)

Anyways back to the topic at hand, yeah idk he could be a total retard for all I know and I just watched a good video by him.
