Unpopular views about music

I do like the Beatles, though I agree they're a bit overrated. I like a lot of other British Invasion bands more, like the Move, Dave Clark Five, Bee Gees (before the disco stuff, of course. Talking about songs like New York Mining Disaster 1941 and such), Manfred Mann, the Kinks, and the Animals.

Never been a fan of today's pop music (yes, I'm one of THOSE people, but granted I won't bash you for having different taste like some people do. I have a lot of different tastes as well.)

Bob Dylan is overrated. There are a few songs I like, and Tangled Up In Blue is my favorite, but other than that I find his voice annoying, his lyrics confusing and pretentious at times, and his harmonica playing squeaky like nails on a chalkboard. As a harmonica player myself, even I don't like his harp playing haha.
A lot of people will say it's his style of harp playing and no one else can match it...but I disregard that. My ears don't like it, so that's that!

Grateful Dead is overrated. I don't dislike them, there are a few songs of theirs I enjoy, but I don't find them great like some people do.

Pink Floyd...I like their early stuff but I cannot stand Roger Waters. At all.

Journey. Like them but hate Steve Perry. Every time I hear "Don't Stop Believing," I wanna stab someone.

I agree with the Taylor Swift thing, she's far from real country music. I still consider her to be pop.
Old country is great. My dad raised me on it, though my mom hated it and preferred the new stuff.
"Delta Dawn, what's that flower you have on? Could it be a faded rose from days gone by?"

And there is good music being made today. I particularly like the Sheepdogs for sounding bluesy and classic rock-like. Katzenjammer is amazing, made up of a few girls who are self taught a ton of different instruments and combine many different genres such as blues, traditional, folk, country, eastern european, pop, much more...and their music would sound amazing in an animated film.

I don't like the Pixies.

"but they have a song in Fight Club!"
And it's kinda similar with My Bloody Valentine. "You don't like them? But Kevin Shields uses 42 different effect pedals for every minute of a song!"

So...who's this One Direction everyone is complaining about? (Didn't know where else to put this...)

Just some boy band from Ireland or something. I don't get what the big deal is about them. Their music's not that great, and they mostly get attention from 12 year olds. Kind of like the Backstreet Boys only in 2013.

I think the Beatles are overrated. They weren't terrible but not the geniuses they're often made out to be.

Does my head in that Lennon is hailed as a musical genius, Imagine was the very definition of the word twee.

Of that era the likes of The Velvet Underground, Rolling Stones, Peter Greene's Fleetwood Mac, The Doors, The Who, Led Zeppelin,Cream, Deep Purple and Pink Floyd were all greatly superior.

I suppose it doesn't help that Lennon was kind of a douchebag to his kids and the women in his life.

I hate everything that teens and peers like (typical dub step shit, cliche rap shit, shitty rock bands that all sound the same, shitty metal bands that all sound the same, shit like madonna or Lady gaga, hipster shit, shit that liberals have hardons for, etc.)

Edit: You know what I hate all music; all of its overrated!

Whenever I hear Sweet Home Alabama, I immediately think of this classic moment from MTV's Fat Camp:

I loved that goddamn movie and I loved that scene, and as a corollary I now sort of love you.

I really don't get Led Zeppelin. I just don't. Being a fan of hard rock and metal, I just hear this praise from everyone says Zeppelin are the greatest band ever. Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but I've never heard a Zeppelin song I've liked.

This same sentiment goes towards most classic rock bands (The Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, Aerosmith, etc.). I do like Boston and some of The Beatles' catalog. However, I really despise Aerosmith.

Phish is terrible. Flatout terrible. My girlfriend loves Phish, and I really don't get it. They are just jam-band revival garbage.

Although this may render my previous opinions completely invalid to most of you, I do enjoy the musical stylings of Fred Durst and the Limp Bizkits.

I really freaking hate Stairway To Heaven. It's probably their worst song. Although I think I can only really like one Led Zeppelin song, that song being Rock & Roll.

Hahahahaha, oh wow, enjoy your ban.

I'm not a big fan of Phish. People I meet tend to freak out when they so much as hear the name and they start going off on how they're the greatest band of all time like they're fucking Jimi Hendrix rising from the grave to cover Ozzy Ozbourne songs with Dio on vocals or something, but they're just sort of a band imo. I don't see them as much of a big deal, and there's no songs by them I could immediately recognize.

I think Limp Bizkit is hilarious. That is to say I don't legitimately enjoy them, I just find the concept of them funny.
