Yeah that game had some great moments and you don't get much more original than "Famous composer dreams entire music themed JRPG whilst dying of Tuberculosis" See now you've made me think of Cel Shaded JRPGs and I have to go play Dragon Quest: The Journey Of The Cursed King. I hope you're pleased with yourself! I had shit to do today!
*Not playing SMT Nocturne instead.*

Shit guys we're losing him!

Dragon Quest IX was easily one of my favourite video games ever, but because Nintendo WFC was shut down I can no longer acquire the colossal amount of free, massively game-extending DLC.

I'm gonna say something that I'm sure is going to produce a massive amount of horrified bouncing and squeaking but here goes: "I never really cared for the SMT games, just not my thing."
Yeah, I only played Nocturne, Persona 2, and the DDS games. I like the SMT franchise alot but I only played very little, lol.

There's a way to get all the free DLC. Also, I just jailbroke my 3DS and I downloaded a shit ton of games.

https://mynintendonews.com/2018/08/...-u-deluxe-could-be-coming-to-nintendo-switch/ covers own soy filled ass from Mario die-hards who'll rape me for liking these samey and safe games (except NSMB2, that game actually kinda sucked). I mean, I enjoy NSMB for what it is, gaming popcorn. It lacks the meatiness of something like Galaxy or 64, but they're still nice, comfy games to play on a lazy day off. Though, it's still weird that this is getting a port when a Mario Maker remaster has been heavily requested since the console's launch

I think Scott Wozniak puts it's best: they're decently made games that are just too goddamn similar. I can understand finding them inferior to the classics (NSMBW is one of my favorite Wii games, but is still a mouse compared to SMW) but the burning hatred some of the die-hards have for this sub-series kinda gives the impression that they're entitled bitches who don't know what bad games look like. Sorta like the people who unironically say "DmC: DMC is worse than DMC2"

I didn't think these games were bad, just boring.

I got Sunless Skies a while ago and played a decent bit of it. It's still in early access but HOLY SHIT is it better than the original when it comes to pacing. The "ships" (they're space-trains because reasons) actually go at a reasonable speed, and the combat is unbelievably better. The story's as good as it was in Sunless Sea so far, and despite the fact that the game presents itself as less creepy it's still got a lot of pretty freaky shit going on.

I am currently playing Link's Awakening for the Game Boy Color. What are my fellow Kiwis take on It? I like It a lot and It's as good as any other Zelda I have played (Not that many, tough) and It's like prototipe for a lot of what OoT ended up doing, like Skulltulas and game-long chain of favor-style fetch quests.

Is Elutheria creepy enough?

So far from what I've played I'd say it's got a good share of creepiness, but it seems like they wanted to go for a split between creepy and a more "dark and mysterious" vibe. The best way to put it (and I haven't gotten all the ports yet) would be that on the front-end of things (when you first get into ports or storylets) it's more mysterious, and when you get into them they get creepy.

The atmosphere as a whole when just flying around though? Very creepy, especially considering there's these weird black-hole things that show up (seemingly) completely at random, I've had them cover up one of the three faction ports around the main hub in Eleutheria before. I haven't flown into one yet because I have no idea what they do and I don't want to find out yet.

Nice. I think my only worry about the game os that it might not match Sunless Sea in term of creepyness since that was rooted more in thalassaphobia, but I guess I'm wrong. It's a shame that they delayed the release date, but it's nice of them to add a big update to the game.

I don't know if you did the full questline for the Chapel of Lights, but Worlebury-juxta-Mare in Sunless Skies is creepier and more disturbing than even that was.

How do you jailbrake a 3ds?

Unrelated but if you guys want to see salt over Brexit look up Not Today, it sound both hilarious and goddamn ret.arded with the following setting "Brexit talks break down, an extreme far-right government takes over and they are pissed so they do something insane to get revenge: They round up everyone with European ancestry (i assume they mean non-british) and exile them! It's a Post-Brexit management game from the mind and point of view of those still salty that Remain lost, you play one of the Brits with European ancestry and while your "assigned role" is Bouncer to scrape by and go back to the city he called home, it's also a time-pressured game with a batshit politically-charged story beyond what i described above. Will you join the resistance and fight the regime or will you keep your head down and hope that this will be all a distant memory one day" Not that's serious crazy bullshit

I fucked your Monash night. You're shut and cheap, tranny.
