I want to like it but the volleyball and minigames control like ass (not good ass). I know the main attraction is it's supposed to be "titillating", but I don't know how they messed up something simple. Maybe I'm just bad at it though.
Believe me, I at first had trouble with the minigames at first. Especially this one from the XBOX 360:

Still, I had a lot of fun with the jet ski races that were fun to race to. In fact, I thought that giving out presents to the rival girls were fun, but losing at night during the poker matches in game would just ruin the fun. 😔

I will go against the grain and say that I will actually miss E3. I have nostalgia for getting hyped for the E3 season and remember fondly many great announcements like the Twilight Princess first trailer. Granted it wasn't good or relevant for like the last decade. But I will give credit were it's due and miss the good times.

The jetskiing was stiff but it was far better than fucking Wave Race Blue Storm and the volleyball in the first game was (at the time) the best beach volleyball game since Super Spike V-Ball.

Man, I've been playing some old games lately and it's further reinforced how much I miss when games had in-game consoles and giga-autistic options menus. Being able to noclip when stuck instead of loading a save or just to explore the level geometry, choosing monitor and sound device, setting up generic analog controllers any way you want etc.

I have a very autistic vidya confession.

I like to, when playing strategy games alone (I mean, I live alone, so that's 99% of the time I'm playing a game), lecture myself on the history of whatever story I'm making. Whether it's Paradox, Total War, a city-builder, etc. Just making up lore of the world, aloud, like little kids do when they play with toys.

You weren't kidding lol

Terrible loss for my younger self and gaming as a whole:

John Romero released a new Doom mod. Sigil 2. Given how much of a splash the first one made, I'm surprised I haven't seen this one mentioned anywhere.

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
I thought they died years ago when they were bought by Crytek?

Could someone recommend a good PC controller?
If for modern gaming, get a Xbone controller. If you're going retro/emulation, you can get retro-like controllers from various companies.

It's bewildering how this year revealed The Act Man of his true colors through Starfield and this game (and the Keffals shit)
Act Man is a strange one because he always seemed like a shill. I never really saw the appeal. It's like when people recommend Worth a Buy or Heel vs Babyface, something seems off about them and I fully expect some controversy or scandal from them at some point.

Just got through Pentiment. Like Tyranny another great game only brought down somewhat by Obsidian's trademark social justice axe grinding. Such a shame. They keep releasing titles that would be among my most memorable yet miss the mark. I almost wish they wouldn't even bother. Its like baking the most beautiful cake you've ever seen than taking a grain of shit and flicking it on top as it goes out the door.

Bit late, but... I've been hesitating about downloading any games on PS5 lately; couple of games that I'm very interested in grabbing but given some of the crap that's gone down with Sony a while back, I'm hesitant. Anyone else feel the same?

I haven't bought an ubisoft game since they clawed back all pre 2012 DLC, and don't intend to. People paid for that shit. Not a fucking license, they bought DLC to play DLC, not to hold a fucking EXPIRED COUPON.

There are a couple games I wanted to get on the 360 before the rumored shutdown in APRIL, but a lot of the games are already delisted.
Fuck that, I'm not buying another console to make my "license current".

A lot of Ubisoft's games are basically there to push microtransactions and woke crap at the cost of gameplay; For Honor, The Division games, Rainbow Six, Assassin's Creed, even the Watch_Dogs games all have a bunch of Ubisoft's scummy shit in them.

Yeah, the tendency for devs to try and make everything always online is pretty shit; the moment they take that stuff offline, all that money you spent goes right down the drain.
