Just saw that the upcoming Indiana Jones game will be a PC/Xbox exclusive.

(Sure, it’ll most likely be trash anyways, just like Starfield but still…)

It seriously pisses me off that Microsoft is trying to prop up their failed Xbox with this anti competitive bullshit.

How the F was that merger allowed to pass?
Money.

But more seriously, it's not actually all that anti-competitive compared to the 2+ decade long exclusivity battle that consoles have been engaged in.
Everything got bought up in a boom cycle, now we're headed into a bust cycle. Microsoft bought everything under the sun circa 2000 and now they've done it again.
The result is going to be a lot of IP going into limbo and a lot of studios closing.

After 5 years of development, Plants vs. Zombies 3 is finally released (in Early Access for like 1758161617th time)!
  • Worse than PvZ2 in terms of "mobile gaming" mechanics
  • Female zombies because why not
  • Art style which IMO looks like shit
  • >Story
  • No selectable seed packs

I'm planning to grab the PC Chrono Cross remaster after I finish the game I'm working on now. Is it really as bad as people have said?

This just came out a little bit ago. Looks like a lot of fun with the one hit kill bushido blade influence
I can't compare this with any other game I know off, so it looks cool. Japan is not my preferred setting but the game looks hella fun, will try it out.

I've shilled Zoochosis in two other threads so I'm gonna shamelessly do so here:

I've seen this setting in "The thing" movie, but the focus being on saving the animals as a zookeeper not some egg head scientist or bad ass PMC has potential for a good game.

Activision doesn't make any games, they're a threat to no one, I'm surprised there was even resistance to it. Maybe Sony can counter and buy Blockbuster Video.
king? cod?
activision makes plenty of money to the point sony was butthurt enough to make stink about cod possibly going exclusive.

They're not affected by mobile games and Sony is perpetually suffering from hemorrhoids. Oh no, what if Starcraft 3 is not coming to Playstation! Microsoft bought an increasingly low-effort vipers nest of sexual harassment lawsuits and if you ask me the courts should have forced Sony to take them for free. It's neither just nor fair but that's how I feel.

The Steam reviews are full of reports about it crashing randomly. I don't think it adds anything new, either, unless you count the Radical Dreamers text adventure. All of that was enough to convince me to stick to Duckstation.

PvZ2 was awful, it annihilated the simplicity of the original, which had a good immediacy to it.

It's got woke censorship.

There's technically a simple teaser for a sequel, but it's nothing you can't just look up on YouTube.

From the developer's room in Chrono Cross PS1:

Fool me once, shame on. Shame on you. Fool me you can't get fooled again.

How is Palword? A lot of people seem to be playing it, but asking for opinions I just memes about shooting pokemon with bazookas and making them slaves, which I know is the point of the game, but does it have anything beyond that one note joke?

Finished Grandia Xtreme and am glad to be done. Grandia 1 and 2 are treasures and I knew going into Xtreme that it was primarily a dungeon crawler but boy did it feel like a budget game in every way. There's a whole post game to it that I'm not touching, too. I can imagine maybe back in the PS2 era when you'd buy a game and expect it to be your only game for a long time that this would be a better deal but in tyool 2024 it's hard to justify doing the bare minimum to just cross it off my backlog.

Its more of a survival game with the pokemon(pals) basically being the workers you add to your base to automate stuff. Pals function as workers, transportation, DPS support, resource collecting etc so if you like survival type games there is just the added bonus of monster collector added on top.

It's pretty good for $26.

Had a little revelation today. Over the last couple of years video game challenge run videos have started popping up "completing X without Y", I'm also a firm believer that anything is a challenge if you're retarded enough. Well it just dawned on me after seeing news about the paper Mario TTYD remake that as a child I was in fact retarded enough to inadvertently inflict myself with a challenge run. I completed both the original paper Mario and sequel only levelling up HP because I was too dumb to figure out or value the badge and flower point system. I was young and it was my first RPG game beside the original Pokemon. Thank you for listing to my video game confession, I am now absolved.

Being impatient I constantly escaped from fights in Final Fantasy 6 then fought Atma Weapon on the floating continent with my most powerful guy having ~750hp. That was hard.

I thought palworld looked like low effort asset flip BS, but my buddys convinced me to give it a try. I refunded the game within 15 minutes, its a frakenstien of stolen ideas, and Im guessing a lazy turnover of the company's BOTW ripoff. We dont get very many decent games these days and this is why, gamers are fucking dummies 🤷‍♂️

Figured I'd try palworld. Picked it up and played for a short time. Thought I would just refund, but then got sucked in. Ended up putting 4 hrs in with a friend. There's now 1 million concurrent players on steam and 3 million copies have been sold.
