I'm downloading Ghost of Tsushima, excited to finally play it. Anything I should know before I start?

Play on hard, don't get burned out by the checklist stuff, play with Japanese voice acting. Enjoy the game.I'm downloading Ghost of Tsushima, excited to finally play it. Anything I should know before I start?
It's very much middle of the road. Not awful, but not great and it gets repetitive pretty quick. Enjoyment seems to hinge on whether or not you like the art style and story or not.Thoughts on Cris Tales? It's just a few bucks on sale.
Hard to think of anything more soulless than taking a beloved old game and just appropriating its name for something completely unrelated like a parasitic skinwalker.Isn't the new Marathon one of those? Instead of, you know, sticking to the style that made it into a cult classic series. Let's turn it into a copy paste Tarkov clone with some sci-fi assets.
My condolences. I was a big supporter of wasteland 2 and loved it to bits (despite its shortcomings, but given the budget and scope it was understandable) and found wasteland 3 a downgrade in every single aspect possible. How is this game sitting at a "very positive" rating on Steam is a mystery to me.I've started playing Wasteland 3
Yeah I tried to get into it, I just couldn't. I didn't think it was completely awful per say but it certainly wasn't good. It had its moments basically, not many though, especially with the fucking writing my God. The intro was where the game peaked for me, all downhill from there. It's "very positive" because it's a good entry for normies into the CRPG genre at the time, not the mention the reddit humor and other normie appealing things in the game. I talked about it in another thread I believe. You see the gaming history of the people who disliked WL3 vs people who liked it and you'll very soon realize what the audience for that game is comprised of.My condolences. Not my genre but it looks pretty awesome for what it is!Ok, I have to shill Nuclear option here (Steam Link) because I feel like its worth more than $18
Might have to give that a listen.
- OST with a theme for every aircraft (And it's got some bangers, the sax hits hards on the revoker)
This guy who let the raiders into town... is directly responsible for the death of this character's entire family and the only reason she's traveling with us! It's really a terrible oversight for narrative purposes to not have some kind of flag that sets this guy as killable without watching a dumb cut-scene of him pulling out out his guns and getting the first strike even if you straight up choose the option to attack instead of trying to arrest him. So I just had to reload an earlier save and now I'm gonna have to go leave this companion back at the base too and do it with only my 4 custom characters. I swear, if I do it again and like somebody tries to arrest me or something I'm not gonna be happy.
Realistically, in Ace Combat games at least, you only need to manage pitch and roll and occasional deceleration for better pitching angle. Yaw is there because it is part of the movement axis but not as important as the former two.Unfortunately the only plane games I've been able to play have been the Ace Combat franchise using the casual controls. Anything where I have to manage pitch, yaw and roll are just too much for me. Looks neat though, I like the idea of NPCs fighting alongside you in multiplayer games.
It has mouse controls major difference is the effects of speed are a lot more noticeable than ace combat.Unfortunately the only plane games I've been able to play have been the Ace Combat franchise using the casual controls. For me it's Roguelike. Game looks fun but nope, hope RNG doesn't fuck you over and waste a good part of an hour, even finishing a run doesn't matter anymore because you fucking know it's going to pull some bullshit time loop so actually you need to do multiple successful runs/counter intuitive actions to reach an ending.I really wish the "extraction shooter" trend would die, just hearing those two words kills any interest I have in a game. It feels like every time I see a trailer for a game with a cool eldritch horror setting it's an extraction shooter. It's even more annoying because these settings seem like they would make for really cool single player games. For instance, The Hunt: Showdown: I would absolutely love a single player weird west game where you hunt down monstrous abominations.
It is in the last mission in AC5 where you fly through a narrow tunnel.Realistically, in Ace Combat games at least, you only need to manage pitch and roll and occasional deceleration for better pitching angle. Yeah but that is exactly why I said it is not as important, as it is only ever useful in tunnel diving. Even in Zero during the V2 tunnel I can just roll and pitch around without ever yaw once.It is in the last mission in AC5 where you fly through a narrow tunnel.
