That's fucking beautiful right there.

It could only be better if the next fifa gets panned (Although FIFA is super popular in tons of shitholes so the retarded monkeys who buy it won't care)
Fifatards will still buy it and still play it because Fifa is a routine , even if they hate the current game and think they are being ripped off they won't go without their fix. Some Fifas have been panned already but that never mattered too much, Fifa players usually don't play anything else, they will rather pay the 60$ yearly pass to play a shitty Fifa than replace Fifa with something else, even when they do is usually another EA sports game, i've seen this happen plenty.

NBA 2K21 arrives to mixed response from players and fans

As is almost always the case, NBA 2K generally arrives with lots of buzz, and with gamers being forced to spend more time at home than usual, NBA 2K21 seemed to blow the previous buzz out of the solar system.

But so far, reviews have been mixed.

As you know, a lot of those leaving the reviews are the players themselves. The loudest complaints surround the new shooting system.

It got so bad that NBA 2K Gameplay Director Mike Wang felt a need to address any shooting glitches via his Twitter account.

Oh, and here's nothing new -- fans and players complained about several of the players ratings, with the most notable being Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal.

It's bad enough that Beal's career season didn't do enough to land him in the All-Star Game. It also somehow dropped him from a rating of 89 at the end of the season to 88 in 2K21.

"As for why Beal got worse from the last time he played, in March, is unclear," wrote Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington. "Perhaps that is accounting for his right shoulder injury, which ended his 2019-20 season before the Wizards went to Orlando for the restart."

Overall, though, things aren't all bad. NBA 2K21 has also received some praise, particularly when it comes to the lifelike details and new neighborhood in Career mode.

"We’ll still need time to hit every corner of what NBA 2K21 has to offer," wrote Brandon Ridgely of Real Sport. "After exploring all of the newest features, once again it levels up on the previous year – and dangles the carrot of more content to come."

It hasn’t even been a week yet, and apart from the fact that the season isn’t technically over yet (playoffs are still currently happening) and abysmal ratings/overload of unnecessary politics, people are still buying this.

This is just dumb and insulting at the same time.

Also, this counts as “entertainment” for some reason:

I'm curious so I'll ask here, does anyone know some good existential/psychological horror games that don't rely on jumpscares, and if they do have them they're scarce?

The fact that Activision of all companies could go back and finally redo Tony Hawk's Pro Skater with true love and adoration for the original game shows to me that there's no excuse for half assed ports. The only reason Nintendo feels inclined to just rerelease Super Mario 64 and Sunshine without any quality of life improvements is only because they can get away with it. Anyone who buys the Super Mario 3D All-Stars cashgrab is a jackass.

I mean hell, they couldn't even add Widescreen Support to SM64?

Silent Hill 1-3, dude.
I certainly love those ones! There was a particular room in 2 that freaked me out a lot because it had super uncomfortable ominous music that made me feel like i was about to get attacked (it was in the room with the tv playing static in the apartments)
I also really liked 3's original version over the remake at points. Haven't played 1 but i probably will sooner than later.

Activision made a shitload of money off of Crash and Spyro. That's when they started caring about the remasters of other games.

Any hope that xcom3 will be any good after the whole identity politics squad game?
I am going off of possibly screwed up memory but aren't the people who made XCOM ... Squad or whatever it is, different than the main XCOM dev team? Either way, you always have OpenXCOM friendo. It's basically a different game but if you like the newer stuff you may like the older stuff as well. Plus it's very easily free.

I've watched a playthrough but i've intended to get it for myself!
Why would you watch a playthrough of a game that's basically not replayable and then buy it anyway? You've basically ruined the game for yourself if you have any recollection since it's mostly just story.

OMG they re-released the vib ribbon soundrack in high quality and they even included an unreleased track! ...exclusively on vinyl.

Why do hipster gaming brands have to ruin everything? You can't even buy it anymore because it was limited edition. Cheers lads.

Not even just Tony Hawk, the remasters of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 & 2 were solid, and the remakes of the original Crash Bandicoot and Spyro trilogies were fabulous. All of which came with budget prices, even the remakes that were bundled together, that's insane for a publisher like Activision.

I'm happy that new players can experience Super Mario 64 & Sunshine, but Nintendo really phoned this one in.

Not sure about Spyro, but the Crash Bandicoot remakes were shit in my eyes. Remakes need to have the exact same physics and collision detection, IMO.

On Steam, download and play Devolverland Expo immediately.

It's a free game that's a roughly 1-hour FPS set in an after-hours game convention/expo where you break in to get a sneak peek at upcoming games(real games, so the game is actually a meta-advertisement). Production values are pretty high, it's very atmospheric especially during COVID's shutting down conventions this year, and there's a respectable boss fight at the end. No jump scares, mild stealth elements avoiding the security drones, and the T-shirt gun actually dresses mannequins. It's also an extremely easy game to get 100% on achievements, if you're into that sort of thing on your Steam profile. I had been saving it for a rainy day and finally played it 2 months late, was not disappointed. Short, sweet, an ideal game that you can't really complain about. Plus you get a shoot a bunch of Fall Guys jellybean people.

I'm looking to get Carrion on sale, and am pretty interested in Weird West. The trailers for Serious Sam 4 and Shadow Warrior 3 were better than I would have expected. I've liked Devolver's edgy marketing the past two years, but this project is a cherry on top of those past impressions. I would love to see more mini-games like this from other developers and publishers. Blizzard, take notes.

Posting here for recommendations. I'm looking for a new game to play. I'm a big sucker for rpgs, but also being able to find randomized loot, a la Diablo. Would anyone here be able to recommend something?

What systems are you on? There's lots of indie RPGs (that are mobile) all over on Switch and the biggest one right now for PS is P5R.
I'm partial to the Fire Emblem series myself; not so much random looting in it much though.
