The long 90 isn't terrible since it has decent pen and good post-pen, but that reload sucks to use since a single missed shot hurts.

The M26E1 also gets a version that's a bit over a second faster to reload compared to the Super Pershing while having much better mobility, especially in Arcade where it gets increased top speed and horsepower boosts from being a medium tank compared to the Super Pershing being a heavy tank.

Yeah, the Super Pershing sucks total ass because it has the power-to-weight ratio of the King Tiger despite not having the armor or cannon of the King Tiger.

So, congrats on your wallet-warrioring, at least!
I mean.....the Super Pershing does objectively have better protection than the m26E1 at the very least.

It does alright. By no means terrible. I agree it's no equal to the KT(H) and honestly wish there was more BR separation in late ww2.

*Edit* Here's a much better example of bad:

*Edit* And yeah, I know it's TS but my personal experience in various tanks aligns pretty well with TS results. From playing both I think the E8 and T-34-85 are fairly even and after checking just now it agrees.

Technically speaking, yeah. But aside from the mantlet plate its just 38mm of structural steel, which has 0.45x effectiveness against kinetic rounds, or 17mm or so. Have to hope the round gets fused on impact with the top plate.

You me, and everyone else. Late WW2 to early Cold War is horrid in terms of how compressed stuff is. Nothing pisses me off quite like taking my M103 out for a drive and then seeing an BMP-1 and realizing I'm likely going to get nailed by a fucking SACLOS ATGM.

They need to bring back white rock fortress. They took it out, said they were reworking it and it never came back. The steep inclines and high walls complemented my Stug fleet.

2. Am I playing with bots? When I use my unsophisticated maneuver Leipzig tactic against the enemy I often see that they continue in a straight line and don't even change their target. Meanshile I'm able to wave my ship wildly 90, even 180 degrees, while keeping a reasonable accuracy on the enemy. Again- I play arcade, but I don't rely much on the auto-targeting, to me it's more of a suggestion than an actual aiming help, I aim by the eye often.
This aged like a damn sour milk. Came back to the game yesterday only to see what they did with naval targeting in general and especially in arcade. What reason they possible could've had to do this, it's insane, just point and click spam. I guess that's to attract more 50 IQ players and children.
Have to play realistic exclusively if I want naval match to be any fun.

Does anyone else prefer arcade to realistic for tanks? I find the RB gameplay loop to be really boring with all encounters being really one sided, on open maps either you get shot in the rear or the side without seeing the bad guy or you shoot the other guy in the rear or the side without him seeing you. Arcade has lots of gunfighting, with sniper duels at long range and gunslinging at close range. In RB city maps just devolve into checking every single corner like a maniac and playing FNAF by listening for engine noises before you dare to do anything. TBH I'm pretty bad at realistic but even when I've had good games I still don't get as much out of it as having a worse game in arcade.

IDK I have nothing against RB players, its just not for me and it requires a certain amount of patience which I just don't have, but I find it really annoying when they say arcade requires no skill. RB players have developed a different set of skills like awareness and map knowledge that are less important than in arcade, but arcade has gunplay and reaction speed as skills you have to learn in their own right, you can't wait 10 seconds to set up the perfect slot if the moment you flank the entire enemy team is aware of where you are. I've found that in RB I tend to have a reaction speed and snap shooting advantage against most other players, but in return I feel like I'm blind.

Yep. When I play it's always ground AB. People who say AB requires no skill are just retards. Both modes have their own skill set.
Arcade mode has every vehicle hauling ass and you have to be far more focused on the earlier layers of the survivability onion since people can see your position. I'd argue you have to be more on the ball with keeping up your aim at the least.

GRB - Pretty much exclusively play this mode. When I first started playing I played arcade because I felt blind without the proximity detection stuff but once I figured out how people move though the maps and how the general flow of matches go, RB is just better. An interesting phenomenon is that when I occasionally swap back to GAB I will completely rape for like 10 matches and then there's this weird gradual decline in my performance. Whether its the Definitely-No-Skill-Based-Matchmaking))))) or if its my brain slowly turning off neurons I dunno. Top tier it doesn't matter if you're playing arcade or realistic, everyone is cheating anyways.

I generally don't like arcade for the same reason I don't like top tier - everything kinda plays the same. All the strengths and weaknesses of each tank gets sandblasted down so they are harder to distinguish from one another. Yet people will still metafag and play 50,000 games in the Greyhound or whatever.

ARB - Occasionally get in the mood for some air battles and usually play realistic. However whenever there's some krokked up battle pass challenge for air stuff I will usually do it in arcade.

Coastal - Always play arcade, extremely fun. My favorite arcade mode.
Bluewater - Always play realistic, extremely suffering. If there's a fucking torpedo battle pass task I play arcade in the Shimakaze.

Wow yes technically everything just has their base stats multiplied by 10 or whatever so technically they're all still different you sure got me
Really? Its only mobility. Armor, pen, ammo count, reload all the same.

Even with the extra engine hp there's still a ton of difference between a t-34/m4/pz4

Don't be disingenuous. The tanks have plenty of difference.

I'm not going to argue pedantry with you but all I said was that the differences in the tanks were minimized. You take the absolute low and the absolute highs and you chop them off so everything is closer to the middle. Yeah Soviet tanks still have a shitty reverse gear, yeah German tanks have shitty turret turning still, yeah APHE is still meta. I get it.

..... that's not how it works at all but you do you.

realistic really depends
i main nippon so i suffer more then enjoy but every rank is different with tanks
air realistic is the best but the game started as a air combat so it makes sense
i dont really like arcade but ive only played it low br
i cant seem to find a match at high br but ive only really played the air arcade
the tank arcade is worse then the realistic because how easy it is to know where to hit someone and everyone can see everyone
realistic tank can be hit or miss depending on the team
playing in a squad is really fun in realistic
