New Killteam in a Space Hulk just announced.

It's Imperial Navy (IG) vs...

Kroot.

Meh.

The big news from this is it didn't get leaked. The rumors were Chaos Vs Space Marines, and then Karskins vs Genestealers.
Edit:
Might be too quick on saying those rumors aren't true.
What’s more, every box in the upcoming season of Kill Team is thematically linked, exploring the setting of the Gallowdark further
So the other two rumored Space Hulk Kill Team boxes might true still...

Wow that was all we got for the big preview day for 40k... I guess it's better that the Votann stuff has been weekly than saving it all for today.

Not happening. The new CSM Codex refers to him as a Daemon Primarch.
Remembering that in one of the books not too long ago, the Alpha Legion was instrumental in creating a planet full of Emperor Aligned Order Demons and Super Psykers (The Humble Saints) that could destroy the Warp at a glance.

All I'm saying is an Imperium aligned Daemon Primarch would be pretty in line with the mindfuck.

Good for the Alpha Legion, but this has nothing to do with Perturabo being a Daemon Primarch of Chaos Undivided.
Remember, he ascended to that rank after all the Imperial Fist Geneseed captured by the Iron Warriors during the Battle of the Iron Cage was sacrificed to the Dark Gods.

What I hate about Navy vs. Kroot is that it's Rogue Traders vs. Gellerpox all over again. Instead creating new Rat Ogres, they're making these one-off Kill Teams with little practical use in 40k.

It still blows my mind that a necron warrior is about $2/model and flayed ones are $10/model. I was finally able to get a model that printed well enough on an FDM printer but such a dinky model shouldn't cost that much. I have no idea why they chose to gouge on them when Skorpekh destroyers appear to be the superior melee elite unit. 20220710_134601.jpg

I was prepared for some inflation but it's out of all proportion. I wonder if GW are essentially in a death spiral with their minis and it's just not noticed by people yet. They sell non-perishable goods that don't become outdated. I have a whole toolbox of old minis (the metal ones). And if there were some easy way to remove ten-year-old me's attempts at painting them I'd probably just use them instead. There's a small Eldar army (incl. the old non-giant Avatar) in there. 20+ years and I could still game with them if I wanted (and they weren't painted like Teletubbies had bukkaked them).
Yeah there's 0 reason to get into GW nowadays.

The solution is either: Go into another miniature game (wargame or boardgame) or buy a 3d printer, or both. We're not even talking a 3d printed army being cheaper than the gw army anymore. We're talking a 3d printed army, and the printer and everything you need for the printer being cheaper than the gw army.

If you have metal minis it's actually pretty easy to strip them though stripping your old stuff is a bit sad.

Or you know, find another creative outlet.

Isn't Corax just a giant deamon crow at this point.

Edit: I just realized if Corax is starting to look like that due to being in the warp too long then, then Rus and the Khan are probably looking strange as well. The former has probably gone full yiff by now, but I have no clue what the fuck about the later. Maybe a generic lightning deamon or flat out fused with what whatever vehicle he took to hunt down some dark eldar degenerates.

i could see a world where the kroot side becomes the replacement kroot carnivore box.

like how the other kill team boxes ended up being their own units later down the line

Not quite. He's on a planet somewhere in the Eye of Terror, hunting a Word Bearers' warband, who are building a temple. Think it's meant to be set, either during or just after the Scouring.

He's taking them out one by one, with the intent of drawing Lorgar out. Forms himself into a murder of crows that tears a marine to shreds, one of them screams over the vox and the rest are wondering what could cause a marine to scream like that, before they eventually scatter back to the portal, where Lorgar appears.
The warband are saying it's a daemon but Lorgar knows who it is, calls Corax out, who says something along the lines of "we are made of warp and now I'm in it, I've learned how to use it" before the two primarchs go at it.

Corax fucks Lorgar up so he runs back through the portal, ignores any of the Word Bearers and locks himself in the Church, and hasn't came out since.

Even if they're almost certainly bringing the lion back next what loyalist primarch do you actually want back most?

[Redacted] or [Redacted] because I know if GW every brings one of the lost primarchs, that will be the biggest shitstorm to happen to 40k save Big E getting off the throne or fantasy end times 2: galactic boogaloo.
Starting to see a bit more cope from "leftist players" of muh female primarch headcannon because of the male only space marine meltdown, so it be a good idea to snip that in the bud. And I know people like arch would have an aneurism, so the idea that GW can piss off two sets of autists is a win-win scenario.
Plus tbh the whole idea behind the lost legions seems outdated. Correct me if I'm wrong but the main reasons for them where a history refence to the lost roman legions in Teutoburg Forest and for players to create their own OC donotsteal legions. The first I still think is valid but the second is cringe and irrelevant since everyone just makes their own chapters instead.
