He just remembers that "the 2nd was not destroyed". For some reason when he mutters this in a meeting with the high lords on Holy Terra the Sisters of Battle in the room glanced at each other, ever so briefly...
If Morvenn Vahl wasn't busy fighting in her cathedral-gundam at the front like a righteous badass, she'd probably be quite opinionated on the matter.

Putting the incredibly gay controversy aside, getting 4 greater daemons for the price of 1 is very nice. 3D printing is a blessing.
I recently got a very nice FDM printer and banging out chunky terrain pieces for a couple of bucks per has been awesome.

FDM for terrain, resin for models.

I know these guys are Astartes, but are they not in full power armor? It looks like just a cuirass over a uniform.

I got some and am painting them like Dark Angels, but decided to make their clothes tan instead of white. It kinda makes them look like Guardsmen.

No. The scouts are space marines just finishing their training. They don't have the Black Carapace implanted yet, so they cannot use the standard power armor until they finish their time as a scout

There's a bit at the end that I'm particularly puzzled by. Templin essentially admits that he made up "the single most referenced bit of lore on this channel" about the Imperium, but he doesn't explain what it is. It's like he simultaneously wants to brag and hide that he's passing on lies to his unwitting audience. Does anyone know what exactly he's talking about?

It's just bait. He wants angry 40k fans to load his old videos obsessively debating what he's lying about.

the Imperial Guard has all-female/mixed regiments and they are just as effective as all-male regiments.
I guess women make for good canon fodder too.

Reminder, the lost legions were stated to be a Roman reference and also give players a way to implement their /owndudes/ into 30k and what’s happened? If you even attempt the lost legions you get laughed at due to heresy becoming pseudo historical.
The Horus Heresy novels expanded on a lot of previously murky lore, in some ways good in some ways bad (like why did the Emperor have a crazy ex-wife who thought the literally demonic gods of evil would be better parents that the Emperor?!).
But one of the big issues is that as it expanded lore it narrowed how much players could do it made 30k less of a setting and more or a set series of scenarios. It's now established canon that the lost legions were gone well before the Heresy, likely having their troops integrated into the other legions.

Shots fired. Begun, the Lore Wars have.

And you know what? I've fucking done it.

You hear that GAMES WORKSHOP? You HEAR THIS Liberals, Cons and Faggots? I have solved the female space marine problem!

The 2nd Legion Astartes, Amazonia, were all Female. But there was a problem. Unlike their Brothers in all the other legions, they were actually fertile. They could have Children, and any child (Man or Woman) born of them held Dominant Astartes genetic traits. Without the need for gene seed implantation. This meant that given enough time the children of the 2nd Legion and their descendants would become the primary evolutionary apex of the human species.

This was horrific for the God Emperor, whose vision was solely on the restoration of natural, un augmented humanity to primacy of the galaxy. The 2nd Legion represented an existential threat to the grand goal of the Imperium of Man. So the Emperor ordered the Adeptus Custodes, backed up by the 6th Marines Space Wolves and their Primarch Leman Russ to exterminate the 2nd Legion, who much like the Thunder Warriors before them had been faithful servants of the Emperor before being betrayed.

Leman Russ refused to speak of what happened to the 2nd Legion primarch, Hypolita, because his betrayal of her is a shame he carried for the rest of his life.

There. Done. Female space marines. Perfectly Lore accurate without any pozzed Nu Warhammer bullshit. You are welcome everyone.

*edit* and now diving down this rabbit hole I've hit the gold mine.

Robute Guillemen has inherited a shattered Imperium. He needs force to drive back the end of mankind and his own bullshit codex astartese has stymied him. He needs a full Legion of Astartes. He has a feeling there may still be one but his memories are broken by his long stasis.

He just remembers that "the 2nd was not destroyed". For some reason when he mutters this in a meeting with the high lords on Holy Terra the Sisters of Battle in the room glanced at each other, ever so briefly...
I was wondering when Arch would get brought up, he's been going nuts over this. That aside, it's a shame really what's been brought up in this thread, why the female VA left Templin, etc. Warhammer doesn't need female space marines when it already has so much natural diversity that wasn't forced in. In the 41st Millennium, cannon fodder is cannon fodder, no matter wh9 you are

Anyone who has followed the Meta Story about Templin (like me sadly) know that "The Institute" is a clandestine organization of dimensional travelers. They imply obliquely that the way they do it is very similar to way Warp Travel works in 40k, and that the 40k universe in particular is among their most "Dangerous", to the point that in normal institute records its code designation is highly classified (like in the video about the Event Horizon movie). They even got a cameo from the Voice Actor of Trazyn the Infinite to make an appearance as a part of this meta story.

Skip to the 20 minute mark to avoid all the crap.

Its a shame he decided to become Pozzzed, as there was some good potential for content here. Alas.

So I'm thinking of continuing on making some models for an Iron Warriors build once I'm off shift. Debating on either doing up some Havocs, some Cataphract Terminators (love their design. Something about that design screams Iron Warriors to me compared to all the other legions), or a Warpsmith first.

Both Havocs and a Warpsmith sound like incredibly fluffy choices.

Are we talking about heresy or 40k here? Now I'm really confused.

Well if we make up female marines, why not the Kawai Waifus? A chapter made from the Geneseed of the Pretty marines Legion, after Leman Russ called the pretty marines too gay and went off to wrestle a giant one eyed monster on Prospero.

They inherited the special geneseed ability that their tears can heal any wound, and their guns shoot roses. The geneseed's un-orthodox alterations caused them to have all sort of rainbow hair and eye colours. Chapter Relics include the sacred Rosarius of Cat Ears, the Force Wand of Yuri and the Lightning Claws of the Yandere.

And I raped the canon less than Templin did, with this 4chan reference I made up in a minute.

Templin Institute has always been annoying, what with his idiotic stance that how any type of monarchy in an advanced civilization is "unrealistic" and takes the Whiggish stance that "democracy is inevitable" despite human history showcasing that there is no singular development path for humanity and that government flux occurs all the time.
Lol this stance is naive. But thinking about it is pretty close to theory of Marx that we are always moving forward to Communist Utopia.

Anyway just few historical examples why this is bs. Greek city states like Athens were crushed by Macedonians and replaced, by absolutist monarchies of Hellenic period. Rome started as kingdom after some time Rome became republic and after J. Caesar we have Roman Empire. For more modern Examples Napoleon Bonaparte and 19th century France in general, Spain. And after the end of ww1 most of states in Europe were Republics , fast forward 20 years and only handful of them survived.

I love 3D printing. I got into Battletech recently and I started printing these 20mm scale versions of the minis to paint up. I also did some Marines which I am painting now. It's so fucking cheap. It actually allows regular people with normal incomes to actually play 40k and remain on meta.

You can make a female clone from a male human but you can't do the opposite as you'll have to add a chromosome from her father which would no longer make her a clone (this is why you can make a Clone Trooper female in the case of Omega as all they did was remove the Y chromosome and doubled the X chromosome. Sorry haters but it's based on actual science). This logic also works on how Space Marines are formed. In order for the woman to survive the operations they would have to add the Y chromosome. Doing this would make them no longer female, hell it would probably make them some form of abomination in the eyes of the Imperium. The Emperor didn't have much help creating these warriors and they're all dead or effectively dead. At best you can improve on what's already there like what we seen currently, not outright make something new.
I would love to see these Youtubers explain away someone smarter than the Emperor doing things.
