Darktide is reasonably fun if you like coop multiplayer FPS.
Firewarrior, while ancient, wasn’t a bad FPS featuring the Tau as the protagonists.
It’s very dated and a bit easy by today’s standards, but worth a try if you are a big fps and tau fan.
It’s partly because a lot of the more creative developers try to do a take on some of the tabletop games.
They don’t always translate so well to being videogames.
It’s that social interaction and challenge that one gets with friends, which a videogame version just can’t capture.
I liked necromunda underhive, but I can understand why people hate it. Turn based tactical can be fun or dreary.

At least you're not hoping for AoS/old world games. Because holy shit, that mess is even worse once you get beyond total war. Bloodbowl 3 was a mtx laden mess that didn't even work for a month after launch(you'd get score screens from other peoples games and all kinds of other weird shit). That realms of ruin rts was fucking awful. There was another VR only sigmar thing... so bad.
