Female SM is always going to be dumb, but I think it would be funny if female Aspirants did exist and they just turn into men after receiving the gene-seed like super mutants from Fallout or something
Ok that would be fucking hilarious because then you'd get the trannies screeching "NOOO, NOT LIKE THAT"

But still though, no.

So, had my battle against the astra militarum as my orks and actually won against 'em. Next crusade round is gonna be vs the DeathGuard and maan this gonna suck hard.
Time to PRESS DAT BUTTON (seriously though, fuck fighting death guard as any melee ork detachment. Had the most success with Dread Mob and Green Tide)

>"Go play 2e"
I want to use the current models and units on current base sizes, and I dont want to argue with some retard over what his pie plate blast is or isnt hitting.
>"Go play HH"
I want to collect some HH eventually but as I understand the system is designed for 3k at peak performance, that's a lot of shit.
>"Make your own Homebrew"
I lack the authority, autism, and willpower to do anything more than draw up concepts in a google doc like a 7 year old with crayons crafting his dragon ball Z OC. I dont want to subject some poor bastard to playtesting it with me either.
One Page Rules?

Though on the topic of homebrew. Iirc, it was mentioned in this thread somewhere that a 1000pt game, no named characters, and no unit that costs more than 20% of the value is allowed (unless it's a mandatory option) could work.

I think it should be the opposite.

Female space marines can exist under one condition. They have to have big titties, and wear boob armour, combat high heels, and/or skintight jump suits.

Methinks they should do an AoS and 40k crossover (since they want it to be capeshit so badly) and introduce refugee characters to both settings. Like give Archaeon to 40k and ship Creed’s fat daughter off to the Stormcast.

High Magos Biologis Throt the Unclean invents the female space marine by taking inspiration from the xenoform of the Skaven female and the grounds broken by freelance scientist Honsou.

IIRC RT has rules for making other weapons and character profiles. 2nd ed might too for weapons, I’m like 99% sure it had one for custom vehicles in its own supplement.
You’d run some issues with bigger stuff like primarchs or super heavies, but frankly those don’t really belong in the sort of platoon+support scale your describing.
Also fuck you pie plates are fun, just don’t play with WAAC autists. Not like you’re going to get a 2ed pickup games anyways.

But I do agree, it would be nice if GW had a system that was a smaller scale of combat than what 40K is currently at.

A Bloodbowl like alternate world that has 40K and AOS clash. Especially if you had something like there being two sets of chaos gods so you can get some mixup instead of “stormcast+marines, Nagash+crons, CSM+CW” we’d almost certainly get because of the chaos centric of certain writers.
I need a plugin to filter out the word "grifter" online. It's like the chudly version of calling someone a nazi.
That Mexican is definitionally a grifter. He’s just making up shit to get mad at, supported almost entirely by baseless speculation. It’d be entirely different if someone like Valrak made those claims, because he’s actually got connections to GW insiders.

And that sort of baseless nonsense has real consequences for the consumers, because it undercuts the legitimate criticisms of GW’s many anti-consumer practices by making them nothing more than a boy crying wolf. And even on the culture war side of things, directs attention away from the real leftists in GW like Mike Brooks.

It would actually make me give a shit about vanilla Warhammer

Boltgun 2 announced, except you now play as a Sister of Battle :story:

At least they decided to keep it as a sister of battle and not try to keep forcing the femstodes bullshit.

Skaven working along side Fabius Bile would be peak crossover.

Incoming HH book post siege features a female Custodes apparently
Source?

Forget that Cawl conversation. Have full-Chaos Fabius and Throt to collaborate on a project and that’s how they bring in a new chaos spawn kit. Hell, throw in a Chaos Apothecary HQ, he’s got two homies like the Dark Apostle, but one is blatantly a Skaven Beastmaster with that wicked staff and the other is just lugging a vat with something very alive in it.

“Did we just become best friends?!”

I mean, technically they did that when you had the Grey Knights guy end up in Warhammer Fantasy because he warp walked there.

Nothing stopping you from using more modern models and proxying them to play earlier editions. I want a historical army and could proxy them in for WHFB. Wouldnt look too out of place

Theres probs a premium on first borns at this stage so goodluck running a full army of those.

Looks cool, they seem to go the Doom 2 Route of "It's the same game, but with a few more guns/enemies, and we know the level design better"

And, unlike Ion Fury (which is a good game, but I'm not a fan of some of the lines), you will remain silent unless you pick the Taunt button, so if I don't like the voice they choose, I don't need to hear.

So this is the second proper Sisters game? The old VR game reused assets from the mobile Freeblade game.

Yes, I could always just run some numbers to upscale the table and ability ranges to match the new modern size of the miniatures, I could retrofit new unit entries for the newer units that didn't exist then like some communities already have, I could put in effort to do all that, but ultimately I dont actually want to play those systems.

I like stratagems, progressive scoring on objectives, secondary scoring. I like that there are no templates (despite how fun they can be with bros who you are just trying to hangout with) because I prefer low trust systems with less wiggle room. I like that every units has some special rule tacked on to it even if it could be made more readable at a glance. I'd prefer a modern system that doesn't throw out traditional concepts and rules. With unit stat-lines that only exist in that version of the game to take advantage of the fact that it's more zoomed in than 2k points. Something in the same vein as killteam having its entire own rule set and -not - being just 40k but shrunk down

I'd like some of that crunchiness back and I dont mind bookkeeping, gonna happen regardless of how much you try to streamline the system. Smaller number of units per army reduces mental load and creates space for more complexity anyway.

Unrelated Note- While /tg/ post quality is at an all time low, has anyone noticed an abundance of /cgl/ posters in 40kg? Whats up with that? Their boyfriends pulling them in to the game?
