It's impossible to take these people seriously.

If you're going to put your entire livelihood in the hands of youtube, because you're too lazy to get an actual job, that's on you. It's so fucking tiresome to have every hobby infested with grifters and shills that only care about making a buck, 90% of all Warhammer related youtube channels could disappear overnight and the world would be a better place for it.

Seems like the issue is more that YouTube is flagging videos from real channels as "low effort" (aka ai slop). This is a long time coming considering the sheer amount of 40k channels that are just AI content farms, but in usual YouTube fashion they are delegating the decision to chatbots and jeets so a bunch of real channels are getting caught in that net.

They will probably start reinstating real channels soon enough though, "youtube is killing 40k channels" is such an exaggerated title that it honestly leaves me with even less sympathy for them.

Funny thing with Valrak for the majority of the life of his channel he actually worked a regular job full time. It only because of a major back / neck injury he made YouTube his main source of income.

Well the SoH, DG and IW were the workhorse legions.

But the rest? Horus mentions it in Path of Heaven to Mortarion, literally saying they’re unreliable and useless. Fulgrim quit, Angron is mad, Lorgar is plotting, Magnus was never on their side, Curze is MIA and Alpharius was given too long a leash.

This is indeed what Valrak is talking about in the video and it isn't like the first channel brought up is making a living off of it with those numbers, but it is just a guy reading fanfic like an audiobook so I can see how youtube could have flagged it(seems Valrak also got him to read some of his stuff with "Builders of Ruins") https://www.youtube.com/@AVoxintheVoid/videos

There's been other lore channels that have gotten demonetized for the same or similar reasons, but they've gotten it back and Valrak bringing attention to it would be a way for youtube to get some jeet to take another look at it.

Now looking at the 2nd channel Valrak brings up, it's a lore channel but got copyright claims and a strike, not flagged as AI. Of course looking at the first video I clicked on "Sevatar: The Traitor Who Spoke the TRUTH" 2 fucking hours of this damn near 3 hour video are the guy reading extended excerpts from multiple GW books.

His Angron video? Again, 2 hours of excerpts from GW books. Ok that's recent, lets check his Guilliman video from a year ago... and it's got probably an hour or more of excerpts from GW books scattered throughout it. Ok, the guy that runs this channel is a fucking idiot. There's a difference between the occasional quote, and reading multiple pages of a book(multiple times) and not expecting GW to take issue with it considering GW takes down channels re-posting audiobooks or making their own audiobook versions of GW's books.

Holy shit this guy sounds like a Romanian AI... monotone but that doesn't make it AI. The problem he does have however is that multiple sets of videos on his channel are series of reading GW(and even some battletech) published books as audiobooks again and he's not even hiding it using some of the book covers for his thumbnails. This guy is a fucking idiot. Zavant is a book from 2002, Battletech Mercenary's Honor is a short story from 2022. Guardians of the forest is from 2005. Hell, the oldest shit on his channel is him reading Starcraft Speed of Darkness from 2005, 13 years ago and then turning it into daily uploads of him reading copyrighted shit. He's lucky his channel has survived this long.

So yes, one of the three channels that Valrak brought up I'd say has a legit complaint being flagged as AI. But the other two are apparently run by morons that just thought they could read copyrighted shit and be able to make money off of that.

Carcharodons cosmetics are about what you'd expect. We got a mrk 5 helm which is the sole reason for giving them a pack and I won't believe otherwise. Their stuff does look nice though. Actually think it's one of the better packs.

Raven Guard Assault Champion looks slick. Definitely one of the better ones.

You can switch the heads of the base classes around now. The faces in Operations don't emote like Titus and Co. in the campaign so idk why people are so obsessed with being helmetless.

You can use heroic skins on other weapons finally. New heroics are the Omnissiah axe, a heavy bolt rifle with a nade launcher(lol), and another combat knife.

4 new customization slots.

Dark Angels Champion chest now has its robes. Heavy got more Champion pieces to choose from. Tac got a lot of the belt gubbins from other champion sets finally. Bulwark got some new pieces like the Blood Angels champion etc.

Custom stratgems for private pve matches.

• Please dear god don't let the War Trakk be a Deffkopta style fire and forget sculpt, I'd love a variety of weapon choices or alt builds
• Have new Warbiker kit alt build as Nob bikers. Alternatively restore bike squad size back to 9
• Only minor scale creep please, new Boyz and old Boyz are actually pretty similar in stature. I'm fine with Bosses and Nobs being a bit bigger.
• Freeboota upgrade kit + Generic Boota boss + New flash gitz (I have no issues with current kit it's wonderful) + Badrukk
• Grot tanks and that battleship from forgeworld
• Wagon resculpt, maintain the old scale and elevate the 9th ed preset loadouts with their own unique bits that make them stand out.
• Less restrictions on leaders. Better yet can we just get auras back on generic HQs

I really hope they put some effort into Orks too for 11th because they've been relatively shit through 10th edition outside of the few windows where they've had several strong weeks before being nerfed into the ground (Green Tide, Bully Boyz, Taktikal, More Dakka, etc.)

As it stands, a good third of the current Ork range is effectively pointless because the majority of the vehicles are just plain bad, the buggies and the aircraft are a decent percentage of the available Ork models and practically nobody uses them which is a shame.

Out of 11th I want:

1. A bit of a rethink of how Orks play in general so they're not as overcosted and shit outside of the WAAAGH turn
2. Vehicles to actually be usable in some form because they're one of my favourite parts of playing Orks and Speed Freeks is shit
3. An actually usable shooting detachment now that they've nerfed More Dakka into irrelevance
4. Multipose Boyz kit that combines the newer Boyz style with the older Boyz customisability (so you can run all choppas/shootas)
5. Updated kits with the new larger scale/style for Stormboyz, Nobz, Meganobz, Weirdboy and Painboy
6. New generic Warboss kit with larger scale and more customisation

Most of the vehicles have relatively decent models and are let down by just being shit so hopefully with them adding the War Trakk they'll give it all a bit of a rethink.

I wouldn't mind new Flash Gitz, especially if they come with a new boss (or even Badrukk back) since they're my favourite infantry kit.

If it were me, I would use a knife to separate the torso and reglue it and use some greenstuff to fill in whatever gaps you might cause if you fuck it up when cutting it in two.

I like that the Conqueror is kind of like Davey Jone's ship from Pirates of the Carribean. Gives it character that I think most loyalist ships lack. Fabius Bile's gunship is also like that, where its half monster half machine.

This is gonna be a hot take, but warhammer is the Sherlock Holmes and other penny stories of our times. Certainly on a much grander scale considering Sherlock Holmes was written by 1 guy, but ultimately of similar quality and purpose, that being written works that are entertaining to a general audience. Most Warhammer novels will never win a serious award or even be in the same realm, but theres a reason people commit to reading 60+ Horus Heresy novels and 40k novels. Ive personally read close to 30 of these fucking books. Theyre entertaining in a way a lot of novels just arent, and despite what nufags claim theres still a lot of Warhammer spice in the new books.

Take a hobby knife (exacto blade, whatever) and VERY CAREFULLY wedge it between the glue points and VERY CAREFULLY wiggle it loose. You dont need to use a ton of strength, its pretty soft plastic.

It is impressive how big the written universe is with the sheer amount of books. but if you go about reading half of them it really is just very pulpy fiction, specially if you go looking around stuff that is not horus heresy like the beast arises.

It is impressive how big the written universe is with the sheer amount of books. but if you go about reading half of them it really is just very pulpy fiction, specially if you go looking around stuff that is not horus heresy like the beast arises.

It also has multiple genres going for it. You've got ww1/2 style action dramas, mystery and crime books, the occasional horror story, political intrigue, etc. in addition to the action pulp schlock. Hell, the Eisenhorn series up through Bequin is basically a Sherlock Holmes clone by itself in many ways, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. But being pulp fiction also isn't a bad thing, it's entertainment. Not everything needs to be the greatest literary work of the decade, nor can it be. Just like not every movie and TV show needs to be the greatest of all time just to be enjoyable.
