I monkey paw wish CSM troops get intercessor tier shooting via marks/boltgun changes or other shenanigans so I can justify using them for something, anything. The two wounds are completely irrelevant when everyone has power crept to d2 weapons and -1 damage mitigators. They would just be tactical marines and no one uses those unless they want to make a statement.

The only boxes I’ve ever bought for myself are ones that can be pooled into one army or easily converted into one army, Space Marine vs Space Marine kits are great for this. Shadowspear to this day is still the best Alpha Legion “Start Collecting” set. Dark Vengeance is also a good set if you are one the cool kids who play Fallen.

I hope when Fulgrim’s fuckheads get their update that we can get an Iron Hands vs Emperor’s Children box set in the style of the amazing Calth/Prospero box sets.

We're playing with hexes. My biggest problem is that bases are too small, it looks worse than old crons on 25mm bases.

I got some pre-painted hormagaunts (12 for like $19) to work on, and I've been slowly laying down base coats around the Flyrant while I wait for a new head & talons.
It might just be because I was into painting before I got into WH40K, but I don't understand why people don't quickly paint through the minis they have before buying more minis.

It might just be because I was into painting before I got into WH40K, but I don't understand why people don't quickly paint through the minis they have before buying more minis.

Some people (myself included for a while there) have little self control... mix in a bit of collector enthusiasm.
What really doesn't help though is GW constantly bringing out new boxes, and not just because those boxes contain a new model or two, usually it's because of the cost savings involved in buying a boxset compared to buying the units separately. So you start thinking "well I haven't finished paining my minis... but if I get this box and split it I'm easily saving like $50-$80, and I have to buy it now since the boxset is temporary."
