i hate the fact that people are such awful parents nowadays that hollywood has a big head about having to, like, help the people man!

You’re a fool if you believe that. Why are the mermaids white?
It looks fine. Either it will be mid or maybe a surprise classic like Megamind was. Never judge a DreamWorks product till it is out. They have made masterpieces out of much stupider premises.
I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt. DreamWorks has always been a gamble on quality, so maybe it will suck, but there is also a good chance it is really good. Nothing about the trailer sets off any alarms, it just looks like a basic hero narrative. My guess is that it will be a mid-movie, but I hope to be wrong in a positive way, and DreamWorks has definitely been on a roll to prove me wrong. You’re a fool if you believe that.
It could be Spirit Rides Again bad or, to a lesser extent, Turbo bad.I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt. I too recently remembered smosh toons. Good fucking times. On that note, I got reminded this web-series Pubertina existed.
Even with Mr. Warburton on board by doing a new GKND, it's still gonna be tragic after having to deal with very shitty reboots, sequels, followups, etc. to huge IPs throughout 2010s to present. OG Kids Next Door will always be a treasure and I rather not have it tainted. After seeing all the shitty reboots, I almost want GKND to not be greenlit (like that would ever happen), because it doesn't deserve to be turned into a shitty 2020s cartoon sequel where the pandering is more important than the plot.
I feel that about pretty much any IP. Each time I see something that was long dormant or even totally dead announce it's coming back, I always feel dread and know there's a 99% chance it'll suck. After seeing all the shitty reboots, I almost want GKND to not be greenlit (like that would ever happen), because it doesn't deserve to be turned into a shitty 2020s cartoon sequel where the pandering is more important than the plot.
Just like a real woman, amirite, boys? Her series and even characterization fluctuates so rapidly that it is hard to even know what WW is.
That statement is an objective lie. "Great movie" has no business being in the same sentence with Turning Red, and even less business being mentioned in the same breath as Del Toro's Pinocchio.
To be fair, I did watch the TMNT movies and they were everything Michael Bay is known for, so he clearly had some creative input, just like how Seth Rogan's sticky kosher fingerprints are all over the TMNT reboot.Them ADHD niggas still calling this new TMNT movie a Seth Rogen movie when he literally had nothing to do with it except being a producer. It's like almost a decade when people wrote off the 2010s TMNT live-action duology as Michael Bay movies when he also had nothing to do with it except for producing. They never bother to do research. Seriously, just call them shit because the new one is shit.
Shrek was not a middle. That movie made a shitload of money.Y'know, DreamWorks is an interesting beast. Theirs is a history filled with terrifying lows (Shark Tale, Trolls), dizzying highs (Prince of Egypt, Road to El Dorado, the Kung Fu Panda and How to Train Your Dragon trilogies, The Last Wish) and creamy middles (Shrek, Sinbad, Bee Movie, Spirit, first Puss in Boots movie, etc.) This looks to be more of a low/middle, but we'll see when the trailer comes out tomorrow.
I meant story-wise/how I think of it, not box-office wise.Shrek was not a middle.
animation fans: animation isnt a genre for kids
he was doing a simpsons referenceJust like a real woman, amirite, boys?

I’ll give DreamWorks some credit, at least the lows are memorable. Shark Tale is practically a classic now given the meme status, and Trolls I can’t hate thanks to this scene making me laugh every time I see it:Theirs is a history filled with terrifying lows (Shark Tale, Trolls)
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who laughed at that. Was the biggest laugh I had in the theater, too, just caught me so off-guard. (Funnier, too, 'cause I saw it with my grandma.)and Trolls I can’t hate thanks to this scene making me laugh every time I see it:

Never thought I'd live to see the day where fucking Kids Next Door of all things is held in high regard.Even with Mr. Warburton on board by doing a new GKND, it's still gonna be tragic after having to deal with very shitty reboots, sequels, followups, etc. to huge IPs throughout 2010s to present. It's fairly consistent, quality-wise.Never thought I'd live to see the day where fucking Kids Next Door of all things is held in high regard.
Yes, its consistently bad. It's fairly consistent, quality-wise.
TBF comics sold super well in the early 90s and its in this era the best selling comics came out. The image guys and their marvel work was basically crack for boys lol.To be fair, some of it seems like Warburton was writing basically a sort of 1950s idea of childhood. I couldn't help but notice you never see these kids playing video games or something except briefly, but they are said early on to have a one-a-month routine of going out and buying new comic books. Like, fine, Warburton was just writing the childhood he remembers.
