You'll get good at it. I'll say this though. When you feel brave or just stupid, tackle some sea raiders. Out of all the region specific bandits, they have good armor thanks to the byrnies and chain-shirts they wear.Mount and Blade: Warband. I suck at it.

Okay, in regards to looters, keep up your defense and attack after they swing. It all takes practice. I was kinda like you once but with tougher foes such as sea raiders. Just be careful in where you start. Consider yourself lucky not starting with the Sarranid's or the Khergit's. Their bandits have horses.I struggle to fight looters and you're encouraging me to fight sea raiders?
And oddly that's how real games work.I have been playing a lot of Game Dev Tycoon recently. Sometimes I make hype of a game that I am certain is good, but I get medrioce reviews, and other times I am modest about a game that I am certain will be meh, but it gets 10,10,10,10 and 2 million units sold. Weird.
[sperg]I don't like Game Dev Tycoon, because actually the only way to succeed in the game is not managing things right (like in all Tycoon games) but exploiting all the quirks of the rating algorithm.[/sperg]I have been playing a lot of Game Dev Tycoon recently. If you are playing, I'd want to join you in some multiplayer to kill things and build stuff. I'll be honest in that I did download another world that had good equipment but I did that after killing the Wall of Flesh (If you kill him, the game enters hard-mode and blood moon's will kill your npc's along with monsters being deadlier, all while death is closer to you than before).I got Terraria from the Steam sales.
I'll be up for playing multiplayer if anyone wants.
I have to agree with Guardian GI. The appeal to Tycoon games like Rollercoaster Tycoon is having you micro manage certain aspects like your money or how clean your park is, and then through experience and understanding of the mechanics being able to improve upon it. Like I know players that spent ages in Sim City making a city with 0% pollution. Or a park in Rollercoaster Tycoon with 100% visitor happiness. In Game dev Tycoon it seems more like the devs are trying to teach people more like the ins and outs of game design from a production standpoint but didn't think to make the game open ended.[sperg]I don't like Game Dev Tycoon, because actually the only way to succeed in the game is not managing things right (like in all Tycoon games) but exploiting all the quirks of the rating algorithm.[/sperg]
