What are you playing right now?

The Bible. Glory to God.

But actually I'm hopping around between Deep Rock Galactic, War Thunder and Daggerfall Unity.

I've been playing Ace Combat 04. I was originally going to sell my PS2 but ironically seeing how much money I could make by selling it made me want to keep and play it even more. Thusly, I've decided against ever selling the thing and since I never finished Ace Combat, I'm going through my first complete playthrough, followed by a tekken 4 arcade run.

Been playing Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous (PC) Running a Bloodrager with a Greataxe, NE Alignment but not sure where I am going with my Mythic path. 100% would recommend WOTR to anyone looking to fill the void of CRPGs waiting for BG3 or anything else.

I recommend you get Ace Combat 5 as well. It is one of the best Ace combat games (even if the second-last mission gave me rage fits)

The Riftbreaker, a combination twin-stick hack-and-slash and base management/tower defense hybrid. The premise is that you're sent to an alien world to prepare a forward base for human colonization, so you get sent in a spiffy mech suit to defend yourself and build your outpost. Slightly buggy, but I'm enjoying it. I can't help but laugh at the scientist character your playing as going all "we must preserve this ecosystem!" while burning hordes of dino-wolf-things to crisp.
I had this downloaded already and gave it a shot for the last couple of days.
It's alright! I thought it was maybe a factorio kinda thing from whatever description I'd read but it's definitely nothing that sophisticated. Decent fun though, it just suffers from a bad case of timers on shit that doesn't need it so you end up standing around waiting a weird amount for a hectic hoard-type game (compounded in some cases by multiple unique hidden build menus you only use once, so fuck your multitasking).
But the actual shooting shit is fun. Minigun+mininuke wrecks fucking everything to the point that I eventually unequipped everything else.

Definitely a pirate rather than buy situation though. That power grid bug is a motherfucker (PS there's a debug console command you can google that fixes it if anyone else runs into that).

I gotta say that surprise twist at the end blew me away: that the devs are russian or something and not chinese lol

Left 4 Dead 2.

Apparently, there was a sale not too long ago where the game was only 99 cents. And it brought with it a lot of new players.

It's both hilarious and infuriating watching them. I was playing as a Boomer on Versus at the beginning of the second level of Dark Carnival and watched as three of the survivors got pinned while this one guy I vomited on went inside the building before Kiddie Land, and crouched in a corner shooting at the zombies coming his way. He had no idea what was going on. Quite a few of these players misuse molotovs as well, leading to situations where they block the rest of us off or burn incapped players to near death.

As frustrating as it can be, it really does show how great the game is in a way. All the ways you can screw up and misuse certain consumables or throwables drives home how important both teamwork and item management are. As well as running ahead or being too far behind. That sort of things can create a psychological effect on you or your teammates leading to more frustrating moments later on and even getting wiped out.

I’ve been playing Monster Hunter Rise. I started off not being a big fan but it really gets fun once you start upgrading and getting to the big monsters.

Was playing Elden Ring but got bored bc I finished all the Dark Souls titles in the past 4 months. Now I'm playing Borderlands 1 again but I didn't finish it last time. I plan on playing it and 2, The Pre-squeal, and 3 over the next few months until I get bored.

Picked up Torment: Tides of Numenera and have been playing a lot of it. It's definitely the same type of game as Planescape: Torment, lots of interesting text, lots of options as far as decisions go, combat is kind of shit. It's the kind of game that would have really benefited from a lot more voice acting but that's expensive and time consuming so I get it.

Does a good job of showing off the setting, which is Earth a billion years in the future and is covered in super technology from advanced civilizations that no one understands. Does a shit job of making me care about the party members they give you. Also, again, the combat is pretty shit. Feels worth the 10 bucks I dropped on it though, but I'm into that sort of thing.

Got some friends to try out Barotrauma which is fun watching them act like spergs trying to figure out what to do without tutorials while randoms keep threatening to shoot them. Hopefully we can get a proper campaign started and go from start to finish.

Other than that, I got my mod list sorted for 1.4 of rimworld and ready to start my yearly colony. Last year I did a Mormon Rancher playthough that focused on raising livestock and bringing the good word to the natives. Think this year I am just going to have a colony focus on creating the ultimate lifeform.

Pretty late to the party but I bought Divinity: Original Sin 1 and 2 on Steam a few days ag and have been playing through them for the first time. They're good games for sure, but just like almost everything else anymore, they've really been overhyped to hell. Maybe the second one will be "the greatest RPG I'll ever play in my life" but so far the first game, while good isn't anything that particularly wows me.

I went full autism and bought the Callisto Protocol. Surpringly it doesn't stutter that bad on my PC but holy fuck does this game have the most retarded difficult spikes I've ever seen in a game. I was playing on normal mode but I had to turn the game to easy mode (which is still pretty challenging) because the fucking game expected me to somehow make it past a hallway that spawns four enemies with only six bullets and that POS baton...

I just noticed that my Ubisoft account has Farcry 3 for free on it. Giving it another go with Ziggy's overhaul mod.
