What are you playing right now?

I'm currently playing through the Dishonored series again. I do want to pick up Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel but I'm having a hard time working out what kind of deck I want to build towards. I have 3 of every card in the second most recent game, Link Evolution, but 10027 (x3) cards is an overwhelming amount of text to sort through even with the search functions.

I've been playing FFVII Rebirth on and off since it came out and I'm hoping to finally finish it tonight if I can get thru that complete slog of a final boss fight.

I was playing Harold Halibut up until some old cunt started preaching to me about how I shouldn’t assume the gender of some unspecified alien I found in a septic tank. Switched it off at that point, had been giving it more of a chance than it deserved up until then too. A boring game about running back and forth between rooms in an underwater spaceship is bad enough, don’t come your preachy bullshit with me and all you old hag.

Fallout 4 with the Galac-Tac Retribution mod. Take a bunch of Airsoft autists, point their autism at Fallout 4, and have them add in a shitload of tacticool gear based on The Mandalorian, and you've got this.

As fucking cringe as it is, the writing is refreshingly earnest. There's no stupid Marvel quips, no underlying irony taking the gravitas out of anything remotely serious, and the characters are all-business on the job. It also presents another faction to do the main quest with, and does do without shitting all over the other ones. I'm not saying it's great writing, but the bar is so fucking low that it's a breath of fresh air after all the dumb millenial writing slop. Wrapping up Act 1 now, we'll see how it goes when the BOS arrive.

Playing Pillars of Eternity. Started it a couple years ago but got kinda turned off by the way the health system works. Giving it another chance. Going through as a Aumaua barbarian

If I can finally get myself to sit down and play something consistently, it should be HEARTBEAT or Cave Story. Both excellent games but best for different moods. There's Fear & Hunger, too. I'll finish them someday!

I was the same. For some reason Kingdom Battle grabbed me in a way where I was excited for the sequel, but something about Sparks of Hope (Maybe the open world aspect?) really turned me off. I ended up ignoring it for a few months before coming back to finish it, and it got better near the end but yeah, I was disappointed.

Just finished the Battlefront Collection. I don't play Multiplayer and aside from one glitch where I got kicked back to the dashboard, the single player campaigns and Galaxy Conquests were fine. It was a fun stroll down memory lane and the little nostalgia hit was what I wanted it to be. If you don't have a steam account and liked the games as a kid, I say get it.
I think it was definitely the open world aspect for me. I agree that it gets better in the second half, but the whole open world thing kinda felt tiresome at times, what with the enemies walking around and all, it felt like I was playing a JRPG. There was something so cozy about the simplicity of the first game. I even preferred the environments of Kingdom Battle, the calming grasslands.

I consider it to be among the top 5 Switch exclusives. Really fun, polished, addictive, good combo of puzzles and combat...One of the only games that made me wanna go back and 100% it. I even did the same for the Donkey Kong DLC. Sparks of Hope, on the other hand, doesn't even make me wanna go back to see what the Rayman DLC is about.

Thanks for the suggestion btw. I'll check it out :)

Etrian Odyssey 1, and it is a fun video game. I remember trying it briefly when it first came out and not really being in the mood for having my shit pushed in, so I've always meant to come back to it. Turns out everyone's full of shit and it's just a normal dungeon crawler after like floor 3.

It's making me wonder what I'll play next though if it doesn't fully satisfy my dungeonlust. I've head the third one with the boats is pretty good.

Been playing some Daymare 1998, pretty good so far in my opinion, highly recommended if you're into Resident Evil and such.

I've been grinding the fuck out of World of Warships. Upgraded multiple ships, been making a point to play daily, get that silver. It feels good man.

Recently got Devonshire. 4 twin 8 inch guns with 14 second reloads, which is slow, but they hit hard and have HE, unlike Bong light cruisers. I will say the upgrades are required. Your initial range is short as fuck and health pool low along with weak armor. Your main pros are raw attack power and AA protection. Still, I'm having fun with it. Also comes with two quad torpedo launchers on either side you can have fun with.

Started playing Rimworld and was actually legit angered by the combat mechanics.

Pawns with a low shooting stat are hilariously inaccurate, to the point of missing with a shotgun at point-blank range. Melee hits can interrupt any ranged attack. If an enemy is stabbing one of your pawns with a knife, they can’t shoot back, even if they have a sidearm or something relatively maneuverable in close combat.

This is completely moronic. Have the devs never seen cop body cams? You absolutely can shoot someone who is stabbing and bludgeoning you. Rifle-butt or elbow-strike to make distance, backpedal, bang bang bang, they’re done. What’s so hard about that? Instead, you’re just permanently stun-locked. That’s not how guns work.

It isn’t like the enemies in Rimworld ambush you, either. You get advance warning of every raid, which means that your guys should all be in Cooper’s friggin’ Condition Red, which means that when knife or axe-wielding attackers come at you, your guys are already drawing a bead on them the whole goddamn time. It’s not like some lunatic unexpectedly leaping through a doorway, knife in hand, trying to clobber a cop who doesn’t even see it coming. Your pawns are literally manning barricades with their guns out and dickheads are casually walking at them with melee weapons and hacking and stabbing them. Combat involving firearms does not work this way. At all.

Went back to GTAO like a battered spouse, been doing salvage missions and the new raid they've added. Also, got into Gran Turismo 7, First GT game I've played since 4. Gotta say foregoing the traditional GT mode for the menu book shit is gay as fuck.

Took a break from eve and pirated that Manor Lords game I've seen people talking about in chat. It's pretty shit. Not even worth downloading in it's current form, forget paying for it.

I'm sorry nobody warned you that Rimworld is fucking trash. The devs are retards and it only kinda works because of shit they borrowed from better games. Even Rimworld fans (the fools) mod the fuck out of it to make things tolerable.
It used to have some popularity because better colony sims that aren't Dwarf Fortress just didn't exist yet. It has second a life now because the pointless cannibal gimmick shit and dumb random garbage it does to make itself unfun are ideal YouTube clickbait. Play anything else tbh.
