What game did you finish today?

I've just finished Shadow Warrior (2013). The swordfighting is lots of fun, though the gunplay lacks a bit of impact. They all feel kinda like peashooters.
The story is so-so, but the ending is surprisingly touching.

Finished the first episode of Telltale's Game of Thrones last night. I think I made a lot of really poor decisions.

I finished Quake just now

Just finished Devil May Cry 3 HD.

Great game. While I do feel the enemy variety is better in 1, (most of the enemies in 3 are guys with scythes, although I can forgive that a little as most of them are named after the seven deadly sins, so they have a theme going on there) I feel 3 was better in everything else. The combat system was more in depth, the story was better, the cast was likable and better developed, (gotta love Dante and Vergil's banter) and I personally prefer the setting to 1's.

And I was also surprised to find the guy who directed this game also did 2. Which, from what I've heard is pretty bad in comparison to the other games. Talk about stepping up your game.

So yeah, this is probably one of my new favorite action games. Just slightly behind the first Bayonetta.

Took about three tries with the final boss but I managed to beat Ys 1. Now to play Ys II and see how long the level cap is.

Finally finished Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, after applying an unofficial patch and god modeing my way out of that final escape sequence after basically beating the game legit, without any form of patching, Private Investigator difficulty, reading walkthroughs online and painstakingly bypassing the many bugs this game has, particularly the blue lights where I used a modified screenshot to tell where I should be shooting, then going through Devil's Reef's death traps and deep into the lair of the fish fuckers, where I got a bitchin' lightning cannon from my kind Yithian friends from the past to take out the flying polyps and eventually zap Hydra to the EXTREME, only to repeatedly die in that escape sequence without godmode because Jack Walters is a slow piece of shit and Bethesda/Headfirst games are usually so ambitious that they don't care about fixing bugs as long as the game is reasonably deep.
Oh and he kills himself but at least the human race is still going so it's a happy ending by Lovecraft standards.

Just beat the final episode in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep FM. Now, I just need to do the secret episode. I'm likely to head back to KH2FM to do the postgame bosses.

Beaten System Shock 2. The final boss is incredibly easy since I saved the ICE PICKS I found (Even though my hacking stat was at max, along with having the psionic ability that could increase my cyber affinity by 1, giving it a small percentage boost) along with shooting the final boss with a fully modified assault rifle. I do love the ending in how the player character responds with just one word in the most nonchalant attitude.

I just completed Assassins Creed 4

Very great game, probably the best in the series in my opinion

I know someone who thought SS2's ending was "cringe worthy" because it was essentially a joke

I personally thought it was extremely funny considering how serious the game was.

Considering how the player character said nah, it does make the ending look like a joke. Did like how it ended with SHODAN still being out there (it was foreshadowed in one of the logs you find since said person of the log found some implants that were like yours and such. Guess SHODAN wanted to make a backup plan in case some fleshy insect managed to did her in.)

Fire Emblem Awakening. I do plan on raising the bar a little bit in a new save of higher difficulty setting with a save themed after either a Touhou character, a Kingdom Hearts Character, or a Lolcow.

I finally beat Phantasy Star Portable. The final boss gave me a rough time until leveling up to 65. I hope the sequel is better since the areas and missions were bland and the AI for the party members are horrible.

South Park: The Stick of Truth. I wish it was longer. The campaign is only about 10 hours, which is kind of short for an RPG, especially a JRPG.

Today I've beaten Resident Evil 4. I loved the gameplay, but the voice acting was just ergh. While it does the job, half of the time the characters sound like wood. Also, there are some odd moments like how when a character is being given medical treatment that's supposed to cause extreme pain, it doesn't even sound like he's in that much pain. As for the horror this game is supposed to have, there are really only a few moments (usually just fighting scary monsters in abandoned areas by yourself) that actually creep me out, the rest of it is just silly gratuitous violence. In fact, considering the wooden voice acting, the violence, the shooting-style of gameplay, and the fact that the enemies in this game act like zombies, I like to think this game is a spiritual successor to the House of the Dead series, since those games also have similar elements.

South Park: The Stick of Truth. JRPG.
It's not a jrpg lol. It's a turn based rpg but JRPGs imply they were made in Japan.

Since it's supposed to essentially be an extended episode of the show more or less I don't think it needed to be particularly lengthy. I just think it needs a proper price reduction since I don't think it was worth 60$ at release.

Actually, a JRPG doesn't exclusively mean a game is an RPG made in Japan. It's a subgenre of RPGs that emulate mechanics from games like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. Dark Souls is an RPG made in Japan, but I wouldn't call it a JRPG, I'd say it's more of an Action RPG. Games like Cthulhu Saves the World, Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden and South Park: The Stick of Truth aren't Japanese, but they're made to play like old-school JRPGs like the games I mentioned above. Even if what I said is completely untrue, 10 hours for an RPG in general is still pretty weak.

I just finished Space Marine. I football tackled a demon prince off an orbital spire and had a midair fight with him. The fact that Space Marine didn't get the promised trilogy hurts.

Finally beat the main story for Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. I'm likely to capture more Pokemon and explore more of the postgame content. So glad there's more things to do then in X and Y.

While this did not necessarily happen today, I did finish all seven days of Postal 2 on Average level recently, and now when I play that I usually just fartknock around the open world while pissing either blood, puke, or flaming fuel in Enhanced mode.

Already finished Bayonetta 2's Story Mode on 1st Climax (easy mode for those that don't know :p) tonight after getting the game for Christmas. The end boss fight was incredibly underwhelming compared to the first game's end boss, but I think it made up for it by the twist ending. I've already unlocked all of the Nintendo costumes except Daisy's. Definitely going to build up my inventory to finish all the chapters on 3rd Climax because I want that Chain Chomp. :p
