Burgers with no buns (just because why the hell not?), and some tater tots.

Went to a new conveyor belt sushi place that had two conveyor belts: one right in front of you with random rolls and nigiri, and one above it that brought you items you ordered through an iPad interface in the table. They had the best takoyaki I've had outside Japan.
God, I wish there was a "Weeb" rating...

That's the one, Pot Pie, because It wasn't lamb, It was beef.
No... the type of meat isn't the important distinction. It had mashed potatoes on top. That's the important part. Did it also have a pastry pie crust, or no?

If the shredded meat has mashed potatoes on top, it's a shepherd's pie. If it has a pastry crust (usually top and bottom), it's a pot pie. If it's layered with pasta and cheese, it's a lasagna. And if it's layered between sliced eggplant with bechamel sauce on top, it's a moussaka.

Pot pie can be made with pretty much any meat, usually with vegetables in gravy. The others are pretty much exclusively made with red meat, but that's not to say there can't be variations. I've had "shepherd's pie" that was more like a chicken pot pie, but didn't have a pastry crust and was topped with mashed potatoes. To me, that made it shepherd's pie.

Mash topping with lamb is shepherds pie, with beef it's cottage pie. I'm guessing pot pie is with a short or puff pastry crust in America and simply a pie in Britain.

@gREEEEEEEEEr Just to be awkward, the type of meat matters in Britain. Cos we always have to be bloody awkward...

Beef n mashed taters - Cottage pie
Lamb n mashed taters - Shepherds' pie (or Shepherd's pie if there's only one shepherd with a grammar nazi looking over his shoulder. We like to complicate everything.)

Pie with mashed taters AND pastry? Never seen it here, so no idea!

Heating a precooked sausage isn't much of "cooked" so I'll put it in this thread.

Got a pack of Aldi chicken, feta, spinach sausages. Suggested for pasta dishes, but I tried one solo to get a feel of how it could work.

Not bad.
 
Had pizza from a local chain; I usually eat frozen over those nowadays (mainly because we found a pretty good brand that's horribly cheap), but it was nice, since the take-outs tend to have a nicer crust.

I tend to make my own, but mostly because the kids like watching me make it.
 
Slim jims. Lots and lots of slim jims
I've made that my entire day's meal more than once.

But not this time. This time I decided to eat some Taco Bell because fuck it; haven't had them in a while.

They were just as cheap and tasty as I remember, and they make pretty good seasoned fries that they'll sadly not make all the time.
 
Tried the tomato basil chicken sausages from Aldi today. Really pretty good, and nothing super-horrific in the ingredients list either.
I like them more than the feta spinach ones.
I'm probably going to eat the entire package within an hour or so.
