Disrupting the peace, vehicular assault (possibly resulting in death) and vandalism are my bets on the most probable offenses that would land Chris behind bars.skyraider91 said:What does everybody think is/are the most probable crime/crimes that Chris would commit to get himself put in prison?
Evidently. I'm no realtor, but I'd give the property a value in the thousands of dollars, perhaps the low ten thousands. Years of hoarding and no major work on the property since the 80's have knocked the property value down considerably from $175,150.skyraider91 said:http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/14-Branchland-Ct-Ruckersville-VA-22968/107910124_zpid/
According to Zillow, 14 Branchland Court is valued at $175,150. Obviously they have no knowledge of the current condition of the house or property.
Of the three you named, vehicular assault is by far the most serious charge. Do you think he'll hit Snyder with his car again?fuzzypickles said:Disrupting the peace, vehicular assault (possibly resulting in death) and vandalism are my bets on the most probable offenses that would land Chris behind bars.skyraider91 said:What does everybody think is/are the most probable crime/crimes that Chris would commit to get himself put in prison?
The land itself is worth a few thousand dollars, and if the house was cleaned out and repaired, it might be worth over $100,000. However, just cleaning up that property (getting rid of the junk/Horde, clearing the yard, emptying the house and cleaning it) would probably be $3,000-5,000, and repairs to the house could be very expensive. At a minimum, they would need new carpets and flooring, new fixtures, new paint inside and out, etc, and that's assuming that the property doesn't have mold and isn't rotting from the inside out. Which is an ever-increasing probability. If the Chandlers are still paying on a mortage, it would make more financial sense for them to default on it and quit paying on a decaying property and move out, into a apartment where they can trash somebody else's property.fuzzypickles said:Evidently.
